Chapter 4: Can they sense the cooties?!
The chirping of birds annoyingly woke me up today, I was four minutes early than when I usually wake up. Groaning, I managed to get out of bed, with my feet touching the lime green carpet I stood up to open the window.
What a lovely view I get from my room, even though I've been living here for three years, the scenery never fails to impress me. The dang birds are still making a whole album on the pear tree right next to my window.
Adding some more rhythm to their symphony, the alarm clock went off, and if there's something I hate right before Alex, it's noise. It drove me crazy, not only that but I'm probably waking up my mom who hates noise more than me.
Stupid Laura should have just turned the alarm off, but no she grasps it firmly and threw it out the window, which ended up hitting the beautiful birds. But hey! No more noise, am I right? Hehehehehepleasedonttellanyonehehehe
I went downstairs to make breakfast. My father's never here most of the time, due to his scientist promotion, ever since I was six I barely saw him. It's kind of sad but I'm use to it. Then there's my mom who's a surgeon, I'll see her every morning then that's it. But enough about them it's time for food.
I briefly made a cold sandwich and ate it and rushed into the showers. Call me weird but I took an hour to clean my skin.
I still feel unclean from what happened yesterday, who knows where that boy's mouth been, I'm sure it's international; probably kissed every girl from the greater Antilles, that dude's lip is probably tropical too!
He's definitely had a lot of practice in the kissing field. Heck, he's been kissing girls since we were 6, but he'd swore that he would never "in a zillion intergalactic years" kiss me.
Was yesterday an exception?
I got out of my thoughts and focused more on my outfit for today,
I'm not really a dressy type of person but lately I've been putting in more effort in my appearance for my parents' sake. They always preach on how reputations are hard to uphold and yadayadayada.
My blue shirt with long flared sleeves caught my quickly.
Alex's favorite color is blue.
Not that I care or anything.
I matched them with my best skinny jeans and my black lita boots. After fixing my hair into a sleek ponytail and applied light makeup, I quickly grabbed my bag downstairs and headed outside.
I walked a five minute walk to my school and once again everyone is staring at me, but this time it wasn't in disgust, it was more of a stare of 'awe', I guess.
Oh gosh what did I do this time. Can they sense the cooties?!
Who other to come up to me in a time like this than Andrea Lockworth.
Her family owns the most richest company in town.
"Well if it isn't the geek named Alaura. I haven't seen you in ages, sad to say you still look..Well..You know, ugly."
I won't lie, Andrea's comments feels like a thousand needles being stabbed in my eyes, it hurts more because she use to be my best friend.
"If it isn't the walking Barbie doll. I see you got a nose job along with some new extensions. Watch out! You don't want to melt in this sun from how fake you are." Happy I didn't stutter on my not so much of a comeback, I stood up straighter showing her that I was ready for her bs.
"Oh please, the only fake person here is you, you think everyone will fall for your act; 'oh look I'm Laura, I'm so not self efficient I depend on everyone for everything, I'm so fragile oh boo hoo' You make me sick Laura Divine and don't you dare mess with me this year."
