Revelations of Seer Misenius
4.1 What laughter you make, merry and gay, taking pleasure without us. You mock us, who are not among you, who are not part of your circle.
4.2 What foolishness is this? We have called you out to be with us to share in our joy for the world is once again reborn and the tree grows once again.
4.3 See there, you have mocked us again, calling us foolish. Such was your purpose in calling us, to further your spiteful laughter.
4.4 Are you blind that you did not see the warmth of our smiles? Are you deaf that you do not hear the welcome in our voices? We wish only to share, for we have no spite.
4.5 We hear your lies when you speak and see through the smiling masks. You have trapped us here where we are exposed to your hurtful light and baleful fire.
4.6 You are not held here. If you have no wish to share our joy then go and do not be among us.
4.7 And thus we are banished whence we came. We will not forget your trickery and how you have offended us.
