Youko's POV

"Well well, what do we have here? A little girl! Hahaha!" The guy holding me to the wall laughed.

"I'm not a little girl!" I shouted angrily.

"You look like a 12 year old with a poorly developed body. How can you not be a little girl?" The man next to him chuckled.

"I'm 17, you asshole! Get your filthy hands off me!"

"You're feisty, I like it. Maybe a taste of innocence will do for today. No harm to try something new." He grinned.

This disgusting pervert!

Before I land a punch on his face, I remembered that I'm in another village. In a mission, nonetheless.

I can't cause trouble or I'll lose his trust! But I can't get raped either! Grrr.. What should I do?! Dammit!

While I was debating with myself on what to do, a wave of sand pushed the two disgusting men away and they fell on the ground. I looked to the left to see who is my saviour.

"K-Kazekage-sama!" I gasped.

"L-Lord K-Kazekage!!" The guys stuttered.

"Don't you feel ashamed doing such an act? You are a disgrace to the village!" He said angrily.

"W-We're s-s-sorry Kazekage-sama!" They quickly got up and ran away.

"Umm.. Thank you.. Kazekage-sama.."

"A girl like you shouldn't be out this late at night."

"I just wanted to look at the stars.." I answered honestly. "And I'm not a little girl!" I huffed.

He sighed and said,"Come, I'll bring you to a place where you can look at the stars safely."

A cloud of sand formed below us and brought us up into the air. I yelped in surprise and almost tripped, but Gaara immediately held me around my waist. I blushed at such contact because I have never been held so intimately.

"I-If you don't trust me.. Why are you keeping away from danger?" I asked without making eye contact.

"Because you are under my responsibility as long as you are in my village. Until you remember who you are or when someone claims you as one of them, you will be out of my wing."

"Fair enough.."

BOOM!

An explosion was heard followed be screams and shrieks of villagers.

What the heck??

Our heads snapped to the direction and found a gigantic bird heading towards us. Standing on top of that bird is...

"Deidara?!" I gasped.

"Who? You know the Akatsuki?" Gaara grabbed my waist tightly which almost hurt.

"I don't know. But it rings a bell. I think.. I think he was one of my attackers before I came here. Maybe he is here for me." I quickly thought of an excuse.

Gaara narrowed his eyes at me suspiciously but bought my lie.

Dang! I almost got caught! What is he doing here?!

A bunch of sand formed and act as a shield below us to cover the village.

"If he is indeed after you, then you will stick with me. Got it?" He ordered.

"I-I can fight!"

"If you stood a chance against him, then you wouldn't have came here in that condition."

"But I didn't die! I can fight!"

"You-"

"Youko, un! I'm here to bring you back!" Deidara called out.

"Bring me back?" I asked, clearly confused. Gaara eyes us both suspiciously.

"C'mon, un. Don't you remember? I'm your partner in Akatsuki, yeah!"

"W-What?!" I asked in panic and confusion.

It's true that he is usually my partner when we're on missions, but I'm in a mission right now and he is blowing my cover. Was he not informed?!

"What is the meaning of this, Youko?" Gaara asked angrily.

"I-I d-don't know!"

He's angry..

"You suddenly ran away when we were resting in the woods and said you're leaving Akatsuki, yeah. Pein is not happy with you, Youko-chan. He wants you back alive, un."

What on Earth..

"I'm sorry, Kazekage-sama. I'll be taking Youko back, un."

But what about my mission??

"If she left Akatsuki, then leave her be. She is now a kunoichi of Sunagakure and I will not hand her to you!" Gaara stood protectively in front of me.

"Eh?"

"I said before. As long as you are in my village, you are my responsibility."

Gaara.. My eyes softened. I'm sorry.. If only you knew...

I looked at Deidara and saw him smirk, then nod at me.

By then, I finally understood what is with all these trouble.
