That was the day when Kim's life changed. She spent most of her free time with Davis. She liked him. She shared all her secrets with him. But the thing was, she never knew a thing about him. He rarely spoke. He would just smile and nod when she told him things about herself. When the sun sets and it was time to part ways, he would turn and run towards the nearby forest. Kim tried to follow him once but she could not find him. It was as if he vanished.

Kim told her mother all about Davis. But whenever she spoke about him, her mother would just smile sadly at her and busy herself with household chores. Kim knew her mother never liked Davis. She did not mind though, not even one bit. In fact, she promised that one day, one fine day, she would make her mother like him. Love, even.

In school, Kim would tell her close friends about Davis. They, too, were not supportive of the relationship between them. Although they smiled and seemed interested, Kim could feel the sad vibes that they gave off in their conversations. "Jealousy," she thought to herself.

Davis was the main reason why she looked forward to tomorrows. Mornings seemed better since the day she met him. She could not wait to talk to him about school, friends, a book that she just read and new movies. It felt nice to have someone listen to her without judging. Davis was like a brother, a best friend, maybe even her soulmate.
