Joseph Kerr Napier was born in Gotham,a cursed town to Jack Napier and Beatrice Napier.
He came from what you might call a....broken home. His father,Jack Napier was a drunk and never at home.It was up to his mother,Beatrice to raise him all on her own.
Once in a blue moon,Jack would come home for money and when Beatrice saw Jack from a distance she would stuff her earnings in her bag and take off with Joe.This she did religiously in Joe's best interests.
now
He tasted blood and the sadistic crowd around him cheered. They egged the bully to kick him once more but Joseph Kerr Napier only smiled. He literally couldn't feel pain anymore, but this reminded him why he hated recess, and life in general.
He never admitted it,even to himself but he was different. He always was different.
For instance, right now as he was being kicked across the basketball court with a hundred people watching him he wanted more of it.He wanted to be hurt even more.He loved how his blood tasted.
He loved being antagonised but what he did not like more than anything else was being embarrassed. He hated being embarrassed more than anything else but there was nothing he could do.He was helpless.
The bully was years older and completely overpowered him.
He stared right back at him and chuckled.
"you freak" he yelled.
The bully stormed off, infuriated and the crowd dispersed.
This was regular.
These exact set of events would occur over and over, bullies who's names he didn't even know picking on him insulting him usually with synonyms of the word 'freak'.
His mom,Beatrice seemed to be the only one who understood Joe for who he was,for his dark internal self.
She would say 'who's a freak?Only someone unique....only someone...destined for greatness.'
