It was cold out. Very cold.
I didn't know when they would bother to look for the dead dog they cared for. But I was waiting. I heard the door open, and I gripped the knife in my hand. They turned the corner and I guess it was a fair fight. I glanced down at the bloody line across my stomach. I heard their knife fall before mine. I turned the corner, expecting someone a little more.... Mature. It was barely with it. It glared at me with green eyes. "Hello there.." I said. She immediately tried to communicate with me, only to move her hands. "Ohhhhh... I see. How disappointing." I signed back the word for secret, then look at her. The life quickly drained from her eyes as she looked at me with fear. She signed back, Parents dead and then pointed at herself. That would be from where she got the knife. So it only happened to me once, running into another killer. But it wouldn't happen again. I quickly jabbed the knife into her chest. She fell against the wet grass. I put both of her hands on the handle to make it seem like a suicide. I felt mercy for the first time in forever. And I hated it. I guess it was because she was going to kill herself anyway. She wasn't bribed, told, nor commanded. Atleast I took her life. Though I was looking for a challenge.
I could relate to her. We had common ground, but she had died first. If she could have talked, we could have made great friends. But, she failed. Note to self-get more inform soon on the target.
