"This lesson we are going to be writing an essay," Mr Davis announces at the front of the classroom. I sit on the first row, nearest to Mr Davis' desk. Mr Davis starts writing on the board: Discuss the differences between the adults in both 'physics' and 'the invisible mass of the front row'.
He gets me to hand out the lined paper and as I take it off of him, he makes sure to touch my hand. I hand out the paper and take my seat, Sir watching me the whole time.
As I neatly write my essay I can see Mr Davis staring at me. I look towards him, he winks and I carry on with my essay.
I've finished my essay and I'm just sat worrying about not graduating, but Sir told me everything will be fine and he's going to help me with extra credit at lunch. I see Mr Davis wink at me again, he stands up and stretches. He walks over to my desk from behind, patting my shoulder, "Well Done, Sweetie," he takes my papers and walks back to his desk.
We have 10 minutes until lunch, then I'll have to rush and get myself food as to make sure I'm not late for Mr Davis' extra credit chat with me. I find it a bit odd that he told me to call him daddy, but I understand as his daughter died a while back and it probably gives him comfort.

"Goodbye class, we'll finish the essays next lesson." Mr Davis lets us all out the class, but grabs my arm and pulls me back into the class. "Remember. No later than 1.36, or else you won't get extra credit," he lets me go and I walk out the room. I'm so glad he's doing this for me, my mum will be so happy when I graduate.I make my way down to the cafeteria and buy myself some cheesy fries.
My best friend Abbie walks in through the big blue doors of the dining hall. "Guess what happened in chemistry!!" Abbie shouts towards me. "What?!" I reply over the loud chatter in the hall. "Dan told me he liked me and asked me if I wanted to go to Nandos with him!" "That's great Ab! What are you going to wear?" "Oh my god, I don't know. What should I wear?!"
Abbie has been my best friend since I can remember. She's always there for me and I'm always there for her. If she thinks some one is dodgy, they are. Two years ago I started messaging a guy and I was going to meet up with him, but Ab told me he'd probably be a weird old man and she was right.
"I don't know babe, maybe your black high waisted jeans and that new halter top you got the other day. I'll let you wear my big denim jacket if you want," I suggest. "That would be a cute outfit", Abbie steals one of my fries. "Make it casual, but not too casual." Abbie and I walk back to our favourite place to talk, the locker room. Nobody ever comes here and if they do they're the new kids.
"I've got to go in ten minutes." I tell Abbie. "Why?" She looks shocked because I normally stay with her all lunch. "I've got to go to an extra credit class with Mr Davis, otherwise I won't graduate and I'll die." I explain to Abbie. "Don't you think he's a bit weird? I had him for English last year and a girl in my class used to have detentions with him and apparently he hurt her." I had heard that rumour too, but there is no way Mr Davis would hurt someone. "Do you remember what people said about Faye? That was a rumour that wasn't true. Most rumours at our school are bullshit." I'm defending Mr Davis because he is my favourite teacher, even if he is a bit weird, he's lovely and always helps me. "Whatever, An, just stay safe babes," Abbie picks up her rucksack and walks out the corridor.
I guess Abbie is pissed off because she has no one else to hang out with and she'll have to spend the rest of the lunch on her own.
I make my way to Mr Davis' classroom, thinking about what Abbie had said. I hope the rumours weren't true. I really need this extra credit and I don't want anything to get in the way of it.
I knock on Mr Davis' door and walk inside.
