Chapter 3

**Stella's POV**

It's been a week since the last time and I am more than relieved. Maybe he gave up.

I don't want to fight him or forbid him from seeing his son and I'm not going to.
That would be unfair for Jason. I lost my father years ago so I know what it is like. And I don't want my son to experience that, and especially not at at such a young age.

So I was just in my office thinking about this whole situation. I had to pick my son up soon since school is ending in an hour.
I sighed trying to get some work done before going.

I was doing through Vera wangs folder when the door opened and closed.
I looked up to see Hunter walking toward my desk.

"There's a thing called knocking you know". I said looking calm even though my heart started beating faster.

I looked at him to see him taking a seat in front of me looking at me.

"What do you want?". I asked. He leaned back his eyes still on me.

Did he forget how much I hated him staring at me?

"Have you been thinking about how to tell Jason? It's been a week." He finally spoke.

"Umh... I thought about it. But I didn't think about how to tell him." I said closing the folder.

He nodded.

"Is that why you came?" I asked pushing my chair back hoping to put some distance between us.

"Have dinner with me". He said making me look at him like he had two heads.

The worst thing is that it didn't even sound like a question. It sounded more like he was telling me.

"When I came to your house, I didn't know I had a son so that wasn't why I was there". He said as I looked at him confused. "I just needed your address, so I didn't look deeper."

"Then why?" I asked standing up.

He stood up too and looked into my eyes. "I want you back". He said as I drew my eyebrows together.

"What is wrong with you?" I asked laughing humourlesly. "Why would you want a cheater in your life?" I said sarcastically.

"I know you didn't." He said making me even more confused.

"What?" I asked getting more and more confused.

"I've known the truth for a couple of months now. I just didn't know where you were and how to contact you". He said getting closer as I took steps back.

What the hell is happening?

"Stop. What is wrong with you?". I asked pulling my hand out mentioning him to stop.

"How? No I dont even want to know how you know. You humiliated me, yelled and kicked me of your house and your life so stop this now". I said trying my best to keep my voice down.

"I was pregnant and rejected because of this stupid video". I said trying my best to keep calm.
"I went to my mom's house and she kicked me out, all the so called 'friends' I had rejected except from Hannah and Matt. They were here. You were not. So don't say you know the truth because you don't know shit". I said as I fought back my tears.

Don't cry.

For the first in five years I saw regret and sadness in his eyes.

"I don't need your pity. Like you said I have been doing pretty good". I said shrugging my shoulders

"I know I should have believed you bu..." I cut him off.

"You should have. Why didn't you?". I said my voice getting stronger. "I know. Because you were a jealous mess. If I wanted to have an affair it would have been with someone other than your brother". I said and I was crying by now.

I quickly wiped my tears away looking up at him.

"I'm sorry". He said but I just shook my head. "I just want you back in my life and my son". He said walking toward me. "And I will stop at nothing for that". He said as I closed my eyes. "I love you."

"Yeah you did a wonderful job showing your love." I said and looked at my watch. "I have to take Jason from school."

"I want the three of us to go out to eat." He said as I walked to my desk to grab my purse.

I paused biting my lower lip lightly, hesitating.

For Jason. Do it for Jason.

"You can just follow my car." I finally said walking toward the door.

To say I say I was shocked would be an understatement. Hunter was far from the patient or going easy type.
