They were just standing there, lifeless.
I started stepping backwards hesitantly and I tried keeping my eyes focused on them but I couldn't, blinking they were gone.
I still gripped the torch in my hand and I spun round, instantly being faced with Charlotte.
I yelped and something hit me, and hard. As if it didn't want me to make one single noise. I went flying into the wall and tumbled when falling a bit.
Tears escapes my eyes and in the corner I could see Charlotte and Michael standing there, still looking straight ahead.
So I did the thing I first thought of. At the top of my lungs, I screamed, with every ounce of energy I had.
As soon as I had let one single vibration out, I was picked up by nothing and thrown into the wall again until I stopped screaming.
Until I stopped breathing.
