When 3

Time is an unbelievable and crazed system in which we base our lives off of. Wether you're chasing the horizon or running away from it can completely alter how the time moves around you. For instance time slows down when you are aboard a flying airplane, when on a plane you might be following the time.
As we all know, there are different time zones all over the world. At one place it might be 3:00 and if you chase the time a little to the side it might be just before three, and by the time you get there, it would be 3:00 once again. Imagine that you were to fly, chasing the time, and have it be 3:00 for over an hour. You would have been flying for an hour but not a single minute would've passed. Then again I could be completely wrong about this. I'm sure you would have to be flying in a certain direction at a certain speed for something like this to be accomplished. But if so, then why does it make perfect sense to some why this theory is perfectly possible, maybe even likely, but others struggle to grasp the concept of time zones alone. More importantly, why was our concept of time designed by a species that barely understand each other, let alone something as fluid and constant as time.
Humans are intricate and delicate creatures, much like the egos that go with many of our kind. We measure time based off of the little planet we call home and this strange fiery orb we orbit and depend on. How fast we rotate, or orbit the sun has impacted our way of telling time immensely. but not all planets rotate at the same speed, nor orbit the sun in unison. So, in theory, each planet has it's own way of time, its own system just waiting to be found out about, so with all the beauty that other planets have when it comes to many things, why is our earth superior? You'd hear things like "it takes venus x amount of earth days to orbit the sun." Once again implying that there are other systems of time out there.
Does time go on forever? Or just as long as the planet that that particular system is based off of? Is there a hidden universal way for us to tell time the same as other things out there such as extraterrestrials? Do plants have a sense of time? If so, does an onion growing out of the earth know anything? Are we just manipulating the poor things? Or do they tell time a different way based on layers instead of days?
I would surely love to learn more about this intricate mess of ideas, you know, before I run out of time.
