A WITCH OF A WOLF

Chapter two

When we arrived there was a small family waiting for us, I assume this was the alpha family. Stepping out of the car I was nervous, what if they don’t like me and treat me like I was back in castle hill.

“hi, welcome to seven hills, or the blue sky territory” the man said, he had short brown hair and blue eyes, he was well muscled and tall, next to him on the right was a boy about 18 years old, he looked exactly like his father except he had a cheeky grin on his face and a glint in his eyes that made me want to check if I still had my wallet.

On the left were two girls, on was about 38/39 and had my eyes and hair, next to her was her daughter who was my age and she looked exactly like her mother. I thought there was only one witch.

The alpha continued “I am alpha John and this is my wife Karen and our children, Kane and Alyss” he said pointing to each of them in turn.

“Hi, I'm Gladys, this is my husband, Alfred and my granddaughter, Lilliandril” my grandmother replied.

Alyss walked up to me and gave me a huge smile “I love your name Lilliandril, I wish mine was that unique”

“Thanks, you can call me Lily or Lillian, I wish my name was simpler, it is so annoying when people ask me how to spell my name”

“no way, I would love having a unique name, besides, at least your name sounds like a witches, mine sounds like a cheerleaders” with that comment Alyss shuddered, I think I'm going to be good friends with her.

Third persons POV (silver moon pack)

Tim walked inside and called to his sister, no answer, walking up the stairs he called out again, still no answer, opening her door he froze, her room was empty.

Tim ran out the door screaming for his father and brothers hoping they could shed a light on the situation.

“What’s up son?” Steven asked when he and the twins reached him.

“Lily’s gone. Her room is empty” Tim answered bluntly, everyone nearby stopped, the silence was deafening.

“Gone? What do you mean gone?” Rachael, Ryan's mother, asked.

“I mean she isn’t here and her room is empty” Tim replied

“Why?” Michael asked the question that was on all of their minds.

“I don’t know, why don’t we ring her” Tim replied, Steven nodded and took out his mobile, dialling his daughters number, he had a fair idea as to why she left but wasn’t going to say anything.

Hello? Lily speaking

“Hello lily” Steven said putting the phone on speaker

Hey dad, how are you, how is Luke, and Rachael?

“Their fine, how are you?”

I'm great, I haven’t felt this happy since before mum died

“Really, I'm glad you’re happy, everyone’s here, they want to know where you are”

I'm with grandma and grandpa, we left, I didn’t like the way I was treated there you know all ….

How were you treated a new voice said

I already told you Alyss, remember … sorry about that, that was my new best friend, Alyss

“Come home please” Tim yelled

Shut up Tim, stop acting, I know you hate me, so does Michael and Ryan and Giselle and nearly every damned person in your pack

“Please, this pack is your home” Ryan said softly into the phone

No its not, that pack stopped being home as soon as you all started hating me and Ryan, you are in no place to tell me that

Is he the one that… you know… hurt you

Yes Alyss he’s the one

Oh I am so going to kill him

Don’t cause any trouble, besides, he will pay for what his done

Fine, oh Kane’s here, I think he wants you

Tell him I will be right down … okay well let’s see, oh yeah, I am home…

“No you aren’t lily, this is your home” Michael yelled, annoyed that she was refusing to see it

No it’s not Michael James Bartholomew Smithson, and never call me lily, only Lilliandril, I only allow family to call me be my nickname

“Bye lily” Luke whispered into the phone

Bye Luke, dad, Rachael

The line went dead, everyone was quiet especially Ryan, I only allow family to call me be my nickname, that’s what they could have been, a family, he could be calling her lily or Lillian or any other nickname he could think up.

And what had that girl said, Kane’s here, I think he wants you, had she moved on and got a boyfriend.

See his wolf said you could have had her but instead you reject her, the pain of your rejection could eventually break her and her wolf to pieces, literally, so now you have to deal with it.

Lily’s POV

After I cut the line I walked down into the living room of the small house we were supplied with, Kane was there waiting to take me to meet all of his and Alyss’ friends. I was surprised that they hung out together but then, not every family is like mine once was.

On the way there I found out that Alyss was also a witch but since my gran hadn’t heard from her niece for a long time she didn’t know, Alyss hadn’t started training yet although she was supposed to a few weeks ago she said she wanted to wait and do it with me.

They were hanging out by the small lake that was part of their land; it was a small group, three guys, four girls. I got introduced to them one by one

Josh – brown eyed, black hair, smart and funny, Kane’s age

Charlie and Lachlan – twins. Blonde hair, green eyes, mischievous, my age

Amy – red hair, hazel eyes, quiet and observant, willing to take part in fun games, my age, Josh’s mate

Jess – chestnut coloured hair, blue eyes, down to earth, Kane’s age, and Kane’s mate

Lucy – black hair, blue eyes, Josh’s younger sister, my age, Charlie's mate

Eloise – blonde hair, brown eyes, Kane’s age, Lachlan's mate

They were all very nice and by the looks of things they knew what had happened to me but they acted normal around me, not treating me as though I would break. For the first time I was completely and utterly sure that running away was the right choice.
