"What is going on here? Pearlyn?" He demanded. I could hear great authority in his voice as if he was born to be big. Big as in with great power or position. Pearlyn pointed to me wordlessly, then resumed pacifying Zack.
Honestly, if he doesn't shut the crap up I'll buy a pacifier for him and treat him like a baby. He really was acting like a one-year-old baby, crying for something.
"Who the hell is he? I mean, she?" That ignorant guy directed his question at Pearlyn, but was staring at me with great, green eyes. Hie eye lashes were long and made him look cuuute...As adorable as a kitten.....whatever. He even mistook me for a he! I bet it was done on purpose. I'm not a tomboy, with long, jet-black hair that reached my waist, so how could he make a mistake so big?
"Who am I is none of your business! And I'm not a tomboy!" I shouted, adding extra emphasis on the second sentence. "Why am I here? Who brought me here? Which asshole kept me here? Not my fault! Just let me off! I've never offended you!" He flinched at my outburst, but then his face hardened. "How do I know? You're a trespasser! Count yourself lucky that I did not report you to my Father! Pearlyn, Zack; stop your actings!"
I'd been tricked. The stupid Zack ceased crying and laughed out loud with Pearlyn even though his eyes were red and puffy. Zack edged closer to him and whispered something into his ears.
Then, they both exited the room, leaving me alone with Pearlyn. "Well," she said. "Occupy yourself with all these books in both rooms. We know you like to read. No funny tricks with your handphone, or else!"
Bang! She walked out with both boys. My thoughts lingered on the unknown guy. Who is he? So hot yet so hot tempered. Completely wasted. Ha, not like I cared.
I've got to find a way out somehow. Perhaps through the window? After checking, I was scared stiff. What was down there were fierce waves of the sea.
I couldn't imagine myself jumping into it just to escape. I was in this room, several metres high up. No one could escape without a brokened arm or leg. They must be crazy.
Disappointed, I could only do as Pearlyn had said. I went back to the other room and chose the book that I was most interested in and sat down to read it. Before sitting down, I glanced at the door pitifully.
I couldn't pick the lock---I don't use hairpins and the like, neither could I call for help using my handphone; Pearlyn had warned me before she went out--- I could only read books all day long. For the first time in my life, I faced reading materials with outmost dread.
