Getting Braces❤️

Hello everyone so yesterday was the day I got bracesssss!!!! I feel so nerdy and self conscious but it's okay because in the end I will look pretty sexy!! Any way I thought it would be awesome if I told u guys about how it all went so if any of u guys are planing on getting them soon u will know how my experience went and if u have had them on for a while can give me some advice to! 

Okay so first I just wanna say I am sensitive to very cold things I have always been like that so my discomfort may be different from yours.

But the first thing they did was sit me down in the chair and layer me back! Nothing really special tbh! Then the lady started sticking a whole bunch of shit in my mouth to open it up wider! That shit is like so tiring for ur mouth! Then she gave me this thing to bite down on I'm not to sure what it was called but it had a tube that sucked in water or water went to the back of ur mouth! Now that shit sucked bc u couldn't stop biting it and it got so tiring and I literally couldn't swallow!!!!  But soon she started putting this gel like blue colored crap on my teeth and she told me that the gel stuff prepared the teeth for the glue! Now that shit tasted DISGUSTING!! It was so sour tasting I thought I was ton a puke one it was gross!!  After that she cleaned them off with water and I hated that bc the water was super cold and that was the only real discomfort for me but it may possibly be different for u! Soon she called in my Orthodontist/Dentist Tony or Dr. Solis! And they started putting on the brackets. If you do not know what the brackets are they are the metal parts that sit on top of each tooth! This went buy pretty quickly there was no pain for that part it just felt very odd having a piece of metal on your tooth!  Once that was done they let the glue dry with the brackets and then they let me rinsed and the first thing I thought when I looked in the mirror was "ew I look gross" just because It was so weird having those weird objects glued to your teeth!!!  then they came back and asked me what color I wanted for the bands that hold the wire in place! Now I actually read a lot about this before going in and I searched what the best colors are for teeth and all of that and so I narrowed it down to black, purple, and dark blue, I ended up going with Purple! Darker colors do make ur teeth look whiter! But if u already have really white teeth then u can get what u want and just in general get what ever u think looks the best on u! I personally like darker colors in the fall so I chose purple! After we chose the color she laid me back down and placed the wire in the place where they needed to go! Soon she started wrapping the purple band over the wire and around the bracket! That wasn't that bad! She did this to each bracket and it really didn't hurt at all! After all the wire was in place she cut the excess and that was it! And since my dentist is super awesome he gave me a free iPad mini along with a really nice electric toothbrush! Sadly they didn't have anymore of the tooth brushes in so they said they will give it to me the next time go! They all got pictures of me with my new Braves and iPad mini! And just a little shoutout if u live in El Paso Texas and are looking into getting braces they are having an awesome deal right now! So you can also get ur free iPad mini!!

Well it has been 1 day since I have had them and omg now they hurt! They are realllyyyyy sore and they have cut up a lot of my left cheek! I have only been eating very soft food bc I literally can't bite! But I have been wearing some of my wax on my back teeth cut that's wear it cuts the most and it is also a lot harder to talk!

As for the responses from people they have all been positive except for one of my friends but we always joke around like that so it is okay! We all have that one friend ;) anyway pretty much everyone liked them and I was super self conscious at first but by the end of the day I didn't really care! So yeah if u guys have any questions about them then go a head and leave a comment I will answer them in my q n a hopefully or I will be answering them on another chapter? Also my next appointment will be on November 23rd so that will probably be my next braces update or sooner!
