Song: THE QUIET by Troye Sivan

Luke arrived at home soon, and texted Kylie he made it home safe, weirdly enough, she didn't reply. Luke shrugged it off before going into the shower, and washed off the remnants of yesterday.

Luke soon got out of the shower to put clothes on, and to do his hair.

Once the job was finished, Luke quickly began to sit on his T.V and watch the news. The T.V began to zoom in on a familiar apartment building.

"Today, at the time of 11:46 A.M Kylie Adler was found dead in her apartment. It reads Kylie had a drug problem, which included mostly of the drugs, Marijuana, Cocaine, and LSD. Kylie overdosed on Cocaine this morning and was found lying in her living room." The T.V. showed pictures of Kylie, and of her laying down on the ground, smiling in peace.

At first Luke was confused, but once be realized what happened he began to shake. His legs felt weak and he fell to the ground, tears coming out of his eyes uncontrollably. 'It's all my fault she's dead!' 'If I didn't leave her she could've been alive right now.' 'SHE COULD'VE BEEN HERE!'.

Luke continuously blamed himself. For Kylie was one of Luke's best friends, even though they had met in one day time. Luke knew it wasn't going to last long, he just knew. Ever since he met her, he always had a guilt-like feeling. He felt something wrong but he never thought twice about it. Oh! if only he had thought twice about it, if he never talked to her, she could've been alive! 'You killed a stranger Luke!'

"The funeral for Kylie Adler will be held on July 24, which is two days time from now." The T.V spoke.

Luke went to his job the next morning, dull of dread. His eyes had lost the alive blue color, the bags under his eyes were quite visible. He barely got the effort to get out of bed. It was like someone placed a rock on his chest.

"Did you hear about the girl who died yesterday on the news? Luke?" One of Luke's best friend's, Michael, who worked at his office job with cubicles, asked. Luke felt like he was thrown against a wall. Tears fell out of his eyes.

"She was my friend Michael!" He cried, tears streaming down his cold cheeks, "I was with her yesterday." Luke pleaded. Michael immediately hugged Luke, and patted him on the back for reassurance.

Reassurance was nothing, Kylie was gone, passed, far gone, dead.

Kylie was nothing more than a distant memory. A faded thought. she was aalive 24 hours ago, Luke thought as he looked at the clock which read 10:28 a.m..

Luke had broken down, for once in a while, he wasn't okay. He felt shane and unfair agreement. Before his phone began to ring, a unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Were you hanging out with Kylie Adler yesterday? Luke Hemmings?"
