Sometimes its who you need

She gladly accepted the hug and Hotch put a warm towel on her neck
When JJ was done hugging Hotch she turned around and looked at Emily
"Emily?"
"Yes My love?"
"I love you so much and I am forever grateful for you"
"I love you too Jennifer"
"They kissed and headed back inside together.
Emily carefully led JJ back into the FBI Building and Hotch called  JJ up to his office.
JJ slowly walked up the stairs and entered his office
"JJ come have a seat" Hotch said pulling a chair out for her
They talked and became closer over 7 weeks letting each other know about their pain when they felt it
20 weeks:
JJ sat up in bed one morning breathing rapidly and clutching her chest
Emily felt the rapid jolt of movement and opened her eyes
"Jayje sweetie you okay?"
JJ couldn't respond because she was having a panic attack again
Emily recognized the signs and sat up rubbing JJ's back
"Breathe, Breathe, Breathe"
Feeling Emily's hand JJ started to breathe
JJ calmed down and then gasped
"Emily!"
"I'm right here, what's wrong?"
"The babies, they kicked"
Hearing this Emily put her hand to JJ's round stomach and indeed felt a kick
"They kicked!"
"JJ started to cry happily and the couple hugged and got ready
"Damn-it"
Emily turned never hearing JJ swear before
"I have to wear maternity clothes now!"
"So?"
"It's just that I can't fit into my regular clothes now"
Emily laughed and helped her get ready in her new maternity clothes.
JJ rubbed her belly and smiled
The two headed off to work wondering what was next
Rossi met them at the front entrance of the FBI building
Immediately he noticed JJ's bump
"Care to share Rossi?" JJ laughed noticing Rossi
"You look so gorgeous"
JJ thanked him and rubbed her belly.
The day before she and Emily had found out the gender of their babies
They entered and Hotch and the team met them
"So?"
"We're having a....."
"Boy and a girl"
After congrats from the team they went back to work
"Guys we have a meeting with the director right now!"
The team got up looking confused but went to a big meeting room
"Welcome agents, have a seat"
The team sat down along with Emily helping JJ into her seat.
"I have news"
They looked at her
"Aaron Hotchner is now your official section chief"
The team congratulated him and got up to leave
"Agent Jareau?"
JJ turned around and looked at her
"I'd like to have a word with you, in private"
She sat down again and looked at Erin Strauss
"First congratulations on your babies and love.."
JJ thanked her and sat back
"At 38 weeks I'm granting you maternity leave...."
They discussed that more and eventually JJ got up and left.
"Guys..?"
"Yes JJ?"
"What happened to David after I had a panic attack?"
"He was in custody why?"
"He's not there or in prison"
The team thought for a moment when it all came back to them
"Crap!"
"JJ too realized that he had escaped and her knees decided to give up she felt hot and dizzy
"JJ? "
"I dont feel well..." JJ mumbled before passing out and collapsing in Rossi's arms
"JJ wake up!"
Emily was patting her cheek
"911 what's your emergency?"
Hotch held his phone up to his mouth and talked
"This is agent Hotchner with the FBI  Behavioral Analysis unit and we have a passed out agent here
"Okay we're on our way"
10 minutes later an ambulance arrived  carrying JJ on the gurney
She was allowed visitors 2 hours later when she was resting in her hospital room where she was waking up
"Hi guys" JJ said seeing her friends at the doorway
"What happened?"
Hotch paused
"David's loose and we have a feeling he will start killing again"
They cautiously waited for JJ's reaction
She nodded
"We actually just got a call that a young woman who was blonde and tall just went missing" Hotch said
"What can I do to help?"
"Actually that's what we need to talk about"
"Other than answering questions you will be benched for this case because of your condition "
JJ agreed and soon the team left and Emily and JJ were alone again
"I love you Emily" JJ said as she yawned
I love you too Jayje" Emily said as she scooted onto the bed with JJ
Emily started to stroke JJ's head and her reaction was very happy
She let out a happy sigh and quickly fell asleep with her hand on her bump with Emily's hand on top of hers while Emily used her free hand to keep stroking JJ.
Soon enough Emily fell asleep with her and the team had come back into the room to find the two cuddled up on the bed
Hotch and Rossi smiled as they carefully draped the covers and a blanket over the two fast asleep agents.
The next morning JJ woke with a start
The team had already been sitting in her room and they looked up
"JJ, are you okay?"
She was having another panic attack
She started to gasp for air and cry
Emily was the first one to realize what was happening
She quickly put her hand on JJ's back and rubbed it
JJ was crying now but she was starting to breathe
"He's killed again hasn't he." JJ said when she could breathe again
Unfortunately yes he has
"Where was the dump site?"
"In ligeaberrry park"
"That was where we first met"
"I've changed my mind, your not benched anymore"
JJ nodded and smiled
Soon she was well enough to be discharged and she let Emily led her out
When she got home with Emily she sat on the bead with her with JJ's faceher face in her hands
"JJ honey what's wrong?"
"I just don't feel good about this case"
"What is it?"
"The young blonde and tall?"
"Oh honey he wouldn't hurt you"
JJ nodded and hoped she was right
"Okay now what doesn't feel good?"
"Your stomach or you just have a feeling?"
"I feel like I'm gonna puke"
With that JJ ran to the bathroom just in case
It turns out it was just nerves and she threw up dinner and drank some water
She came out feeling much better in the morning and the happy women headed to the bau
JJ felt what was coming
"Okay we need to head out to Roanoke which is about an 3 hours and a half so wheels up in 10"
With that everyone left the room and boarded the plane
"We have another victim."
"This one is  different its someone from our past."
JJ took a breath and waited
"It's Elle Greenway"
JJ's brain took a moment to process that and immediately the tears came to her eyes
Hotch knew that JJ still hadn't recovered from the teams loss and the guilt came rushing back
Hotch rubbed her back as she started to cry
