The Unimaginable [Conspiracy!Theorist!JackalxReader]

       If all disasters had a common epicenter, this would be it.

      Clutter dominates his bedroom. The plethora of clumps are skyscraping; they're haphazardly shuffled at the base, and look ready to topple over at any given notice. Their layers mush together, creating a disgusting jumble. A polished floor can't be seen, not even a fragment. It's under the heaps of unwashed clothes, and other things. You're not even sure if you want to know what all of those other things are.

     It's better not to know.

     The putrid stench migrating from the clumps is abrasive, repeatedly shelling out foul odors to your nostrils. Your face contorts uncomfortably, features exaggerating the utter display of distaste. The stench is everything disgusting rolled into one punch. Your forefinger and thumb immediately clam around your nose, closing your nostrils in attempt to ward off the abhorring smell.

     Various maps of controversial sites line the walls. Notes are scribbled in the margins hastily to the point that they're almost unreadable. It's worse than a doctor's handwriting. Obtuse arrows in bright colors point to distinctive locations, and are followed by giant circles scribbled around the location.

     Your heart almost stops once everything fits together.

     Oh no.

     Jackal's always been into the conspiracy theories, what really happened (or in some cases happens—he thinks that some are ongoing) during traumatic events. It was a fantastic outlet for all of his energy.

     But you never knew that he went off the deep end.

     Jackal rises from his slouched position in the corner. A red marker's in his grasp, and his clothes are disheveled, like they haven't been taken care of.

     Your thumb rapidly gestures to the hallway.

     "I'm just going to leave. Bye!"

     And before he can attempt to reel you into his theories, you're already gone, skedaddled out of the room like a phantom.
