Taraji's POV:

(4 months later.)
Ever since we got back to LA, Tyrese and I have just been chilling. Doing things that normal couples do I guess. One day we were just laying on the couch hugged up watching tv and Tyrese asked me "Whatchu doing next Sunday?"  "Umm nothing actually. Now that I think about it." I said looking up at him
"Alright good, you coming with me to the hip hop awards."
I sat up and looked at him, "hip hop awards?"
"For BET, I'll give you my card tomorrow and you can buy whatever you want." He said kissing my hand and then my cheek.
"You know how I feel about things like this."
"Like what T, we're together now why can't I take you out and show you off?"
"Baby I never said-"
"We been together for months now and when its an important day for me you don't wanna be around. What you ashamed of me or something?!" He asked now standing up and screaming.
"No baby you know that's not true."
"I ain't even tryna hear it man. Call me when you ready to tell me the truth." He said as he walked out and slammed the door.
Hearing the door slam shut just made it all the more real for me. "He's never been this mad at me before. God what did I do?" I thought to myself as tears rolled down my face.

(One week later)
Tyrese's POV:
Today is the day of BET awards and I'm in my room getting dressed. I got my crew Ginuwine and Tank with me tonight and we gon roll out and have some fun. As I was fixing my collar in the mirror the doorbell rung. "Ay Ty, you expecting anybody?" Tank asked as he walked outta my kitchen eating cheese-it. "Nah man I ain't expecting no one and stop eating my shit." I said grabbing the box of cheese-itz from him  and walked into the foyer. I open the door to nobody else but my angel, my headache, my favorite woman in the world Ms. Taraji herself.

I opened the door and there was Taraji standing there. We just stared at each other for a good three minutes having a conversation with our eyes almost speaking with our eyes since nobody knew the proper words to say. "Who was at the door man?" Ginuwine asked interrupting my thought process. I stood to the side so he could see who was at the door, "Hey Taraji girl! How are you? You looking good ma." He said as he hugged her and pulled her into the house. "You gotta excuse this little nigga he don't got no manners. Letting you stand out on the front porch like that. What's wrong with you?" He asked looking at me.
"Man shutup." I said annoyed as I pushed him away from me. I looked back at T and grabbed her hand pulling her towards the backyard. "Come on T we gotta talk."
"I'M SORRY" they both said at the same time.
