Prologue

The tires screeched, as metal hit against metal. The woman sitting in the passenger seat, was now lying against the dashboard, breathless. The seatbelt digging into her chest. The man driving has his head back against the seat, blood dripping down his emotionless face. His eyes were still staring, lifelessly. Bright lights surrounded them as a young man came to the car, inspecting the inside. His eyes opened in shock and he started grabbing the lifeless bodies outside of the car.

He unbuckled the man in the driver seat and put his arms around the body as he dragged it out. He then laid it down into the grass that was frosted. He then went around to the other side for the woman. He pulled her out with no hesitation. He laid her next to the man. The car was a total wreck. Glass was everywhere including on the woman and the man. Guilt filled the young man, he knew he was the cause of the accident. He fell to his knees seeing those poor people. He moved his hands from his face and saw something sparkling in his eyes. He crawled over to the woman and around her neck was a locket. He touched the locket and it frosted under his touch. He gently opened it and there was a picture of two young women on each side. One young woman had long platinum hair, a small nose, and beautiful ocean blue eyes that sparkled life into the young man's eyes. He looked onto the other side of the locket and there was another young woman with strawberry blonde hair with a streak of platinum hair, turquoise blue eyes and thin lips. He closed the locket and stood up. He didn't just kill ordinary people but he killed parents. He never met his real parents before but he knows that both of the young girls he saw in the locket are going to be devastated. He looked back at the locket and decided to take it. He unhooked the latch and slithered the chain away from the woman. He then ran away from the scene, trying not to be the person who killed two people for driving recklessly. He went to his neighborhood, the suburbans where he lived with his foster parents. He hesitated to open the front door. His parents would be really angry with him for crashing the truck. He took a deep breathe and turned the doorknob he opened the door and his parents looked up at him confused.

"Is everything alright Jack?" Jack's mother asked.

He nods and walks up the stairs to his room. He pulled out the locket from his jacket pocket and sets it down on his dresser. "Why did this have to happen to me. Why did this have to happen to the girls." He thought, his face on the bed.
