The Nerd and The Bad Boy

Chapter 4

He walked away. That name sounded so familiar. Where was it from?

Then the bell rang.

SHOT

I didn't even eat lunch. Now my stomach is going to make sounds in class. That won't be embarrassing at all. I run to my locker and get all of my books. I was not going to be late to class today.

I get there and go to my seat. Who was Reece? Where have I seen him from? Do I know him?

I was all caught up on these questions that I didn't even see that the teacher walked in and started the lesson.

The bell finally ring after a long speech about how we are growing and stuff like that. Man how I hate health.

I walk out of the class room, not even thinking  of looking where I was walking, I ran into someone. "Jeez the second time today. What is your deal huh? Are you stalking me or something?" I knew that voice. I remember that voice. But from where?

I didn't look up I just picked up my stuff and walked to my locker. "So what is your name anyways? Since we keep running into each other literally I might as well know your name." I look up finally. Oh my goddess. Not him again. Oh please not him again. The rude boy that threatened me before today. Oh what is his name again?

"REESE."

"Yes, that is my name now what is yours?" Oh shot, did I just say that out loud? That's embarrassing. "Why do you care anyways? That last time I checked you told me to disappear." "I didn't say disappear I said don't forget my name. Now would you answer my question?" "My name is Marii-aana" I stuttered. That wasn't embarrassing at all. Way to go Mar, playing it cool. "Well ain't that a pretty name. Now do you think you can make it to your car without running into anyone or should I walk with you just to be safe?"

I roll my eyes. "Actually I'm walking home. Thank you very much." "Well in that case I will give you a ride home. Where do you live?" Am I hearing him wrong did he just offer me a ride home? "I'm not telling you that and my mom told me not to ride with strangers so if you would let me go home now that would be great." He started to laugh "Oh your mom taught you right. But you see Marianna we are on name terms so I think we aren't strangers. If anything we are just acquaintance. So come with me."

What is wrong with him? Didn't he hear me? "I told you I'm not going with you. Now leave me alone." After that I walked away from him. Man he is creepy.

As I was about half way home I heard a car. Being a natural human I looked to see if I knew who it was. Sure enough I did. Reese is following me. What in the world, that is so creepy. I decided to pull out my phone to act like I was on it so if he tried anything I could call the police.

I could hear him slowing down as he got closer to me. I didn't know what I should do. Should I run? Probably not. After all last time I tried to run away from someone they caught me. And he is also in a car.

At this point I was beyond scared. What if he tries to kidnap me and doesn't let me go? Will I ever see my parents again? I know they aren't there much but I still love them.

As I got closer to my house I could still feel him following me. I decided once I got close enough I would make a run for the backyard. We don't lock the door so if I got into a situation like this I would be able to make it through the back door and then lock it and call the police. My parents are always so prepared.

I got to my front yard and ran for my life. I could hear his tires screech to a stop. And the door open and shut. I ran even faster after that.

I got to my door and locked it. He was right behind me. He ran into the door and tried to open it. This was insane. I got my phone ready to call the police. As I was about to dial he started to yell.

"Don't call the police please. I promise I'm not trying to hurt you. I just wanted to make sure you got home okay."

How stupid does he think I am? Just because he came up with some stupid thing to say does not mean I'm not going to call the police. He is insane. "I'm calling the police so I suggest you leave."

After I started to dial he left. I didn't really call them. I knew he would leave once I acted like I was.

My parents were out again so I had to order in. I felt like pizza so I called Dominos. About 30 minutes later the door bell rang. Without looking through the peep hole I opened the door.

"So you like pizza?" Oh my god this is not happening again. Just my luck. "Didn't I tell you to leave you creep." I tried to shut the door in his face but that didn't work.

"I told you already. I was just making sure you got home safe. Why can't you believe that?" Is he seriously asking that. "Oh um let me think. You followed me home and then when I ran inside you decided to run after me. Yeah that's not creepy at all. Now if you would leave me alone that would be great." He decided he was going to push open the door so he could get in my house.

"Or I guess come in." "So are you gonna come and sit down and eat your pizza or just stand there letting the cold air in?" I decided to give up and eat my sausage pizza. Man was it good. He stole a piece though and I wasn't happy about that.

"So now that the pizza is gone you can leave." "Ha I don't think so. So what do you wanna go and do?" What? This boy. "How about we go to the front door and you let you ass out of my house and never talk to me again?" He rolled his eyes and started to walk out. "Okay I get that you don't like me but can I please show you something?" "Fine but we can't stay out late. It's a school night."

"You sound like my mom." I didn't take that as a compliment. "Whatever." I grabbed my coat just in case I got cold. "So are you ready to have some fun." Oh god what could that mean. "Let's go."

Oh goddess what could go wrong?
