She knew what she had to do, there was no two ways about it. She had to kill him tonight.
Another night with him would drive her insane.Fifteen years she had sat across from him at the table, watching him fill his piggy little face, fifiteen years she had laid beside him, listening to him snore and snort like a steam train.
It had to be tonight, she would kill him with what he loved best...food.
She would cook all his favourites, steak and kidney pie, mash potatoes and green beans, followed by a Victoria sponge with lashings of custard. She had it all planned, she bought the rat poison from out of town and, the meat cleavers and various cutting tools from a hardware shop she never visited in town.
Oh she was going to enjoy this, the thought of it was making her quite giddy with excitement.
She heard the key in the door, her body felt tense as he walked in. "What you standing there for Mabel, go fetch me my slippers and don't forget the scotch , no ice".
She smiled her most convincing smile and answered "Yes of course Gerald, I've got that coming right up.Her thoughts were calm as she handed him his scotch and slippers, "Dinner will be ready in fifteen minutes, I've cooked all your favourite dishes dear" she said with a hint of a smirk.
She sat across the table from him and watched him stuff his face, not even coming up for air as he chewed, slurped and grunted his way through his favourite dishes.
Tonight would be the last time she watches him stuff his fat, pink piggy face. She calmly sat across from him as he gasped for air, flaying his arms about and grunting like a pig on heat, she didn't take her eyes off him even when he turned a deep shade of red.
She didn't flinch when he started to foam at the mouth, as he took his last breath, she stood up and started clearing away the plates.
She hummed a happy tune as she arranged all the tools she would be needing to dismember his fat piggy body. Oh she was going to enjoy this!
