Freshman year. Everybody says it's the worst, but in a small private school, everybody knows everybody and rumors spread like wild fire. Because of this I am now known as a whore, truth is that I have never even had a legitimate boyfriend.
The first Friday of the school year we have a dance, small, and always had a really lame theme. Megan convinced me to go, somehow. I met a guy there... he was pretty cute, musical, really skinny, and totally not my type.
I ended up going out with him for 3 months. Weird how these things work, right? I broke up with him because my middle school crush, a year older than me, told me that he liked me. His name is Eric, hes nerdy, tall, handsome, and totally my type.
We talked a lot in middle school. I would even venture to say that we might have been friends. I liked him and everybody knew it, except me. I was naive in middle school.
Eric and I went out for a while... 6 months! But we went to different schools. I was very involved in sports and clubs while he was taking a ton of AP classes. We were destined to break up because we never really got to go out. We were two very different people. He told me that he loved me and I believed him.
I guess I was still naive freshman year too...
Ultimately I found out that he had heard the rumors that I was easy. That could not be more wrong though.
I sincerely believe that I will never find love. I dint know who I am. All I know is who people think I am. The bad part is that I started to believe them.
