"Hey, you need to get up" were the words I heard that pulled me from my sleep. I opened my eyes to see Mike. "What time is it?" I said groggily as I sat up on the couch. "Almost 4PM" Mike replied. Oh no! I still have to go home and bathe and get ready for work! I sat up straight on the couch and rubbed my face. I glanced around "Where is Vincent?" I asked as I stood up. "He went home a few hours ago" Mike said then continued "I cooked some eggs and bacon. I mean, this is breakfast for us night-shift workers. It's in the kitchen if you want some" he said as he rubbed the back of his head, walking into the kitchen. "Thank you so much!" I beamed as I followed behind him, sitting myself at the bar in front of the plate he'd already made for me. Such a sweet guy. I quickly ate and then carried my plate to the sink, rinsing it off. "I need to go. I don't have any work clothes in my car... So I'll see you in a couple of hours!" I said as I walked out the door.

That was so nice of him. I stepped out of my car and walked to my apartment, unlocking the door and stepping inside. It's 4:15.. I have time. I sat some stuff up to cook on the stove while I went to shower. I dressed myself in the uniform I was given and fixed myself to look presentable. I walked to the stove and stirred everything. I need to leave in a few minutes... I prepared everything and put it in three separate plastic containers. I mean, this is the least I can do after they were so nice last night. I put the food in my car and then made my way to the restaurant. I arrived right at 5:30. I grabbed the containers and then walked from my car into the front doors. I looked around, watching all of the employees cleaning. The animatronics on the stage caught my attention and I watched them for a moment. I knew where I was suppose to go so I quickly made my way there. I was told not to doddle around after closing time. I stepped inside the office and placed the food inside the mini-fridge.

"See you tomorrow, sweetheart~" I heard a familiar voice say as it got closer to the office. "Hey, Vincent!" I chimed as he walked in. "Hello, Love" he grinned back at me. "Did you sleep well?" he asked as he took a seat in front of the large desk in the office. "Yeah! And Mike even make us dinner...uh.. breakfast?" I said, confused. "Too bad you didn't stay with me, you could have had sausage" Vincent smirked. "Well he cooked bacon and eggs, it was delicious!" I said. *It went right over her head... ugh* We watched Mike make his way in and pause, making sure there were no customers still inside before locking the doors and walking to the office. He stepped inside and shut his door, checking the other to make sure it was closed. Vincent was on my left and Mike was on my right. "What exactly do we do?" I asked. "Watch the screens, make sure the animatronics stay inside and don't kill anyone" Vincent said in a monotone voice. "KILL ANYONE?!" what in the world was he talking about? "Well, you see, these animatronics seem to get their wires crossed at night and if they see any adults in here past 12AM they uh... kill them pretty much" Mike explained.

"Has... has anyone ever been killed by them?" I asked nervously. "Yeah, quite a few, actually. But only because they don't listen to the person training them" Vincent chimed in. "So, as long as I'm with you two, I'm safe... Right?" I mumbled. "Of course we'll keep you safe" Mike said. Wow, a place where robot animals kill people? No wonder I got hired so easily and with this amount. It makes sense now. So these two have been dealing with this for... Vincent for 12 years and Mike for 10. That's horrible. I feel so bad for them. "I am very happy I have you two to make sure I'm safe!" I smiled. They both turned to look at me. "Of course we wont let anything bad happen to someone as beautiful as you~" Vincent smirked. "Yeah.... we'll protect you" Mike said.

They pointed out how the animatronics moved during the night. How they watched the cameras. I asked them why this happened but neither of them could give me an explanation. This was terrifying. Every now-and-then one of them would be at one of the windows of the office, just staring. But Vincent and Mike handled it and never once looked frightened. Around 12:30AM I remembered I'd brought 'lunch' for us. "OH!" I said as I slid my chair over to the fridge. I removed the three containers and placed the first one in the microwave. "What's that?" Vincent grumbled. "I cooked some spaghetti for all of us. I know how men are and I figured neither of you have been getting a nice home cooked meal. And this is the only way I could think of to repay you both for last night!" I chirped. *Really? Cooking for us? Well, maybe she'll keep this up since I have to keep her alive for a while*
-So sweet. This is the type of person Vincent needs to be around right now. He seems like he's coming around... but will I ever be able to forgive him?-

I warmed up all of the containers and passed them out, placing one in front of myself. "This is really good!" Mike said as he slurped up the noodles. Vincent remained silent, taking small bites occasionally. "I-is there something wrong?" I asked. "No, I'm just not use to eating" Vincent replied. He was thinner than Mike. But they were both muscular. "Thank you" Vincent said, smiling at me. "OH, you're welcome!" I replied. "You see? They are all over the place" Mike said as he gestured to the cameras. Wow, they really were moving... and they looked so creepy. "But, where did the fox come from?" I asked as I watched it run down the left hallway. I jumped a bit as I heard a bang on the door. "He's always been here" Mike said. This explains a lot about some of Vincent and Mike's darker aspects. If Vincent has dealt with this for 12 years and Mike for 10... I kind of understand them better now.

Even though I'd heard about what they do to you if they catch you, I felt so safe with Vincent and Mike here. I know they will protect me. "Well, what do you two want to do Wednesday and Thursday night?" I asked. "You can come over to my place and I'll show you a good time" Vincent grinned. "OR we can get together at my house again. I love having company" Mike smiled back at me. "Yeh, Mikes would be better" Vincent approved. I have so many questions I want to ask them about what happens here at night... But I don't think I should ask them yet. It may be a bit much. But, I really want to know one thing... "Have the animatronics ever killed a child?" I asked in a low voice. Both Vincent and Mike paused for a second before continuing checking the security cameras. I knew I'd asked something I shouldn't. "Yeah..." Vincent spoke. "There have been a couple of incidents that resulted in a kid getting injured or.. killed...". How can this place still be open?! This is horrible!

"Why... why is this place still open? Why do you two still work here?" I asked, my head down. "I want to protect people" Mike said sternly. "I... just want to make sure the animatronics do what they should" Vincent replied. This is crazy. How is this place still open for business? Killer animatronics.... So if I were to step out in the hallway.... "So what would happen if I walked out of this office right now?" I asked. "One of them would catch you" Mike replied. "Then they would drag you to a room and stuff you into a suit, filled with wires and coils and joints, locks, and springs... They would shove you into it as the parts tore through your flesh and you would die slowly..." Vincent followed. "God damn, could you be more gruesome?!" Mike exclaimed. "Well, she asked!" Vincent protested. "No, it's fine. I did ask. I wanted to know. You two have been through a lot, haven't you?" I said. "How many people have died that you were training?" I mumbled. "... Three" Mike spoke first as he lowered his head. "I... I don't know" Vincent replied. He kept his eyes on the monitors but I could hear the sadness in his voice.

The alarm rang out at 6AM and Mike and Vincent checked the monitors one more time to make sure all of the animitronics were back in place. We made our way out the front door when Vincent grabbed my arm "You are going to come back, right?" he raised an eyebrow. "Well, yeah. As long as you two are here!" I blurted out. "Good" Mike said. Vincent let go of my arm and I watched them walk to their cars. I was so excited. I made new friends.. And they were wonderful people. I felt so warm inside when I was around them and so cold and lonely when I was away. Why couldn't I have met people like this earlier in my life?
