Chapter 30

Harry’s P.O.V

“What the hell man?” I said getting to my feet.

“Whenever I see something I want, I’m gonna get it.” He said clicking the bullet in place.

“Not this time.” A voice said from behind him. A heel whipped across and collided with one of the guards’ ears. They stuck their heel of their hand out so it could break their nose before they could go down. Another set of hands dealt with two more followers as they quickly dug their fingers into body parts I don’t want to name. The leader was so shocked he completely forgot I was there.

“Who are you?!” he yelled.

“A person.” A voice said… a female voice.  

“You have no business here!” he said pointing the gun at her direction.

“Actually, we do.” Another voice said… a guy’s voice coming from another direction.

“You think you can beat me? You don’t know who I am do you?” the leader yelled, yet his hand was still shaking.

“You’re right. We don’t know who you are, but that doesn’t matter. The person you tried to kill was who we’re going for.” The girl said. She stepped out of the darkness, as well as the other guy. Rey and Jeremy. The leader grabbed me and put the gun to my head.

“Don’t move. Let me go or I’ll shoot.” He said.

“I’d rather you shoot me instead.” Rey said casually. The guy got angry.

“Don’t bluff with me. I’m not joking. I’ll-“

“What makes you think I was joking?” she said. Rey raised her hands signaling she had no protection.

“What are you playing here? I know what’s going on here. You’re distracting me so I’ll lower my gun!”

“No. I know what you’ve been saying about me. I’ll go with you.” She said so casually. What was she doing? “All you have to do is let him go.”

“What happens after?” he asked.

“I’m yours.”

Jeremy’s P.O.V **A few moments before**

When Rey told me the situation with Harry, I wasn’t surprised that she was worried. She just told me that Harry was taken in the back by a bunch of guys. She practically dragged me to the back and towards the door. She mumbled the plan to me in the process. All I heard was something about distractions, grabbing Harry and running away. It did not seem possible, but we had to try. We walked into the alley and stayed in the dark to see what situation we really were in. the leader then took out his gun and pointed it at Harry, before I knew it we took action.

I tend to destroy the legs and chest first. As I was knocking out and beating up a guy, I caught a glimpse of Rey. This may sound crazy, but it turned me on a little bit. Even though she was practically killing a guy, she somehow made it look graceful. Every hit was so… swift. It almost looked like she was dancing. When we finished up with the bodyguards, we stayed in the darkness. Rey signaled me to walk towards Harry. As I walked, I was so focused on Harry that I wasn’t paying attention to what the hell Reyna was doing.  By the time I got to Harry, I finally cued into what was going on.

“If you let Harry go, I’m yours. You can take me and do what you want with me. Just let him go.” She said oh so calmly.

“Fine. Have it your way.” The guy said. He turned around to let Harry go, but I was already with Harry on the other side.

“What the hell?!?!” he yelled pointing the gun at Reyna. She however, pushed his arm up. A shot was fired, and broken glass fell. she knocked the gun out of his hands, and she crashed her elbow into his knows. Her foot smashed his foot, and her heel drove into his groin. He bent over, and she smashed her elbow into his back. He fell to the floor… unconscious. Rey turned around to see us.

“Are any of you guys hurt?” she asked walking towards us.

“Yeah. We’re okay.” I said to her. Harry practically ran to her.

“Thank you so much! I actually thought you were going to go with him.” He said to her as he wrapped his arms around her.

“I’m just doing my job Harry.” She said. I had to hold back my anger… She looked at me.

“Thank you for your help. If it wasn’t for you, this would never have worked.” She thanked.

“No problem. It’s part of my job too… should we go back inside?” I asked.

“Yeah.” We agreed. We started walking in, Harry kept his arm around Reyna’s waist. I kept my distance so I wouldn’t get angry. Just then I saw something in the corner of my eye.

“Watch out!” I yelled. But it was too late. The leader had gotten up and took a shot. It hit Reyna in the chest. She fell down. I quickly grabbed the nearest item in the ally that was within my reach… an empty bottle. I threw it at his head. It hit him clearly, and he crumpled to the floor. I quickly ran to Reyna. She was crumpled on the floor, not moving… and not breathing.
