The air seemed thick, and the wind began to grow strong and angry. The three stood by the ship's wheel and looked out at the sea ahead. "There's a storm-a coming." Romano muttered. Antonio's usual childish expression was gone. ____ looked at them, slightly worried. "Do we go back? We can't go any further, Antonio."

He looked at ____, then behind them. Antonio furrowed his eyebrows as if in a strong internal debate. He muttered a curse before responding.

"No. We can't go back." "What?!" ____ looked at him unbelievingly. "Bastard, are you-a crazy?! That's a shit storm and it's coming our way!!!" "I know, Romano. But they're most likely already following us. If we wait or go back, we'll face our death.. But if we make it through the storm.." Thunder cracked in the distance. ____ paled. "This is insane." "We've been through worse, Romano. Besides, if we make it through, we'll be ahead of them a great distance. It would be extremely difficult for them to catch up. We could lose them." "I don't-a like this.." Antonio gave him a half hearted smirk. "Neither do I... Alright!!! Listen up amigos!!!" The crew turned their attention to their Captain.

"Things are going to get pretty crazy."

...

Antonio shouted out orders to the men. "You! Take care of the sails!" "You! Get up in the bird's nest!" ____ watched, intrigued, but scared all the same. The ship began to meet the storm. Rain fell lightly. ____ knew the calmness wouldn't last long. The rain began to beat harder against them and the seas tossed the boat about. "Ah!" The ship rocked roughly and ___ slipped, falling hard onto the wood floor. "____!" Two strong arms helped her up. She looked up to see Romano. "Dammit, ragazza, you've got to be-a careful." ____ managed a timid nod. She then looked out at the sea. Clouds loomed over them, dark and brooding. Lighting crashed and thunder roared. The waves were huge and angry. ____ felt all color drain from her face.

The crew was scrambling about in a frenzy as Antonio barked orders from the wheel. "____, go to the Captain's room." ____ shook her head. "But-" "Do as I say." Romano's stare was sincere. "... Alright." Romano gave her a relieved look before letting her go. He rushed out to Antonio's side.

____ began to turn to leave. "AGH!!" She spun around. Teddy was struggling to hold a rope. It began to slip from his hands. "Teddy!!" She looked quickly at Romano. 'I know he told me to go, but.. I need to help!'

Her legs sprung into action.

The rope slipped from his grasps. ____ got there just in time to catch it. It yanked her forward and she desperately tried to keep hold of it. The thick rope burned her soft and fragile hands, but she merely gritted her teeth and tightened her grip. Finally, she positioned her feet and managed to slow her skidding. "____?!" Teddy grabbed the rope once again. "What are ye doing?!" "Helping!" She spat out. The two of them successfully held the rope. "Ye should go take shelter!! Ye could get hurt! Ye're a-" "A what? A princess?!?" ____'s arms burned. She wanted to let go so badly. She wanted to give up. Her legs began to become sore. Everything screamed for her to quit. But ____ remembered all the times she had to sit back, all the times people took care of her and did everything for her. But now was different.

"Well guess what?? I'm not anymore!!!"

....

"Romano! Help me!!" Antonio gripped the wheel tightly. Romano nodded and helped him turn the wheel. They struggled against the sea, the rain pounding against them. "Where... Is ____?!" Spain managed to say through his teeth. "I-a sent her to your quarters!" "Good! I don't.. want her to get hurt!" Romano looked at Antonio, his eyebrows knit together tightly.

"Why?!" "Why what, Romano?" "Why are you-a doing this?!" He shouted past the rain. Spain was confused. "Doing what?!" "All of-a this! Facing a deadly storm! Going against the (k/n) navy! And all for-a what?? Some girl?! Some deal?! Why?!"
