The sun grew tired and began to sink lazily behind the water. The feast had come to an end, and ____ found herself staring at the sparkling sea as she stood by the edge of the boat. A soft sigh left her. 'This was such a new experience.' Her mind was still buzzing from the alcohol, yet she thought clearly. 'These people are much different than the ones of (k/n). Much more rugged... Yet they're not entirely different.' She thought about the kindness Romano had shown her. She remembered Teddy's smile, and Antonio's laughter. 'They're still people.. And... I actually enjoyed my time here a bit.' Her gaze slowly shifted to the castle. It was small and distant, like a dream she was beginning to forget. 'I almost don't want to go back... But I don't belong here. I am the princess. My responsibilities lie with (k/n)... And yet...'

"It's almost time." The voice sent a chill through ____. Antonio stood beside her, a smile on his face. "I'm sorry to have put you through this, princess. But I'm a pirate, and I'll do anything to get what I want." She looked up at him with a blank face. He continued to stare at the water, his green eyes shimmering like emeralds. "I'm glad this happened." Antonio stiffened in surprise and turned to look down at her. ____ watched the sunset with a sad smile. "I got to experience something outside of my kingdom.. And for a moment... I felt normal." His eyes widened. He watched her. Her hair shifted in the breeze. Her mouth curled up into a tiny smile. And her eyes...

"But I'm not, am I? And I'll soon return to being a princess. A trophy to give away." ____ said bitterly, laughing dryly. "But at least I got to escape... Even if just for a little while. I wish it could've lasted longer.."

....

A small paddle boat made it's way to the pirate ship. Others stood a ways back, guns ready in case something went wrong. Antonio went to the edge of the ship, his hand around ___'s wrist. "Do you have the gold?" The people below opened the chests. Mounds of gold and jewels glittered. His smirk widened at the sight. "Alright, amigos! Hoist it up!" "Wait! We want our princess first!" Antonio's smile fell. "Ah. Yes. Prepare us a paddle boat!!"

The small boat rocked roughly. ____ gripped the sides firmly. They approached the knights. "Where is she?" "This is your princess." The 3 looked closer. "Are you trying to pull something on us?" ____ looked down at herself. She had changed her clothes. Her hair was a mess. And she was a bit dirty. 'They don't recognize me? Just because I don't look like royalty?' ____ cleared her throat. "How can you not recognize your own princess? I'm almost insulted." The knights instantly recognized her voice. "Ah! Sorry, m'lady!" "Just making sure!" They stammered out apologies. Antonio spoke up. "Alright. Give me my treasure." The boats were close enough to where the knights were able to pass the chests. Two strong pirates that had accompanied them took the chests with rotten-toothed grins. "Alright. Now our princess..." "Ah. Sí. Of course.."

A fire sounded. ____ let out a smalll shriek of surprise and stumbled. One of the knights gripped his now bleeding hand. "Antonio?! What are you-AH!!!" She was pulled against him, and the familiar coldness of a gun tip met her temple. The knights stood still. "You should know better than to make deals with pirates!" He taunted with a mischievous smirk. ____ was in shock. "But if I didn't have ____, I wouldn't have my treasure, would I?" "A-Antonio!?!"

"Princess..." His voice was low. "Things are about to get a bit crazy, no?" "Wh-What do you-AHHH!!!" He pushed her down to the bottom of the boat, him on top of her. She was trembling, unsure of what was going on. The pirates began to yell from the ship, and then ____ could hear the loud sound of canons. "RETREAT!!" She heard someone say.

They waited a while until Antonio helped her up. "What the hell?!?" ____ pushed him away, then looked out at the sea. She saw no bodies. The boats were fairly far now, paddling away. "I made sure we wouldn't kill anyone, ____." She stiffened and looked at him. "What are you doing? You have your treasure. Why didn't you just trade me in? Now they will come for you. They'll probably kill you!"

"Well... Like I told you earlier..." He grinned and cupped her cheek. "I'm a pirate..."

"And I'll do anything to get what I want."

____ was flushed, bright red. "Antonio.." "I'd ask you to come with me, ____, but you don't really have a choice!" "Wait-H-Hey! Put me down!" He only laughed, a hand gripping her ass firmly. "Alright, boys! We have the booty! Let's go!!!"

...

____ began to protest. "Antonio, we can't just-" "And we'll go stop at a port to get you new clothes." "Antonio, please listen-" "I suppose you'll have to learn how to fight too.." "Captain Antonio, if you would please-" "and we would have to-" "CAPTAIN ANTONIO!!" The energetic pirate quickly closed his mouth.

They were in his quarters. ____ was still in shock from what had just happened. Did he really kidnap her again?! He was insane!
She rubbed her temples, letting out a long sigh. "I don't think you realize what you've done." "Yes I do! I saved you from a marriage you don't want to be in. You can thank me later, chica~" he responded. 'Is this guy really a pirate? He's almost like a child!'

"You went back on your deal and kidnapped (k/n)'s princess. And we're currently in alliance with the kingdom of my fiance. They both have powerful navies... They're going to find me. And when they do, they'll kill you, and the rest of your crew. " Antonio laughed. "What's so funny?" "You're going to worry your pretty little head off, ____." She scowled. "You have to take me back." "What?" She stood from her chair, looking him dead in the eyes.
"Take me back to (k/n)." Antonio frowned. "You don't have to go back." "I do. The country depends on me. They want me back." She began to go to the door until a hand wrapped around her wrist. "But is that what you want?"

____ spun around. She could feel tears stinging her eyes. "It's not about what I want. It's never been. I've never had a choice." "But you do now." The words hit her like bricks. "You have a choice. You can go back to the life you had and be forced into marriage... Or you can stay here with me. You can have a new life. Isn't that what you want?" ____ bit her lip and looked at the floor. Antonio tilted her face up towards his. She could feel her face grow warm. "Tell me sincerely that you want to go back and I'll take you there. But if I go back, I'll be killed anyways. Or you can tell me you'll stay, and I have a fighting chance."

____ opened her mouth to speak. She attempted to find some sort of response. 'Do I go back and do my duty.. or listen to my heart?'

Antonio searched her expression anxiously. "It's your choice. I promise."

"Antonio... I-"

Suddenly the door slammed open. Romano stood there, a serious expression on his face. "Hey bastard. We've got-a trouble."
