Hot, sweaty, moaning...
Antonio did not take their sword fight training lightly.
They started immediately after his declaration to the crew. ____ felt like all eyes were on her at all times. She glanced about nervously, sometimes catching the stare of a judgemental pirate. I'm bound to make a fool of myself. "Oi, chica, heads up!" ____ turned, just in time to see the sword flying towards her. She scrambled to catch it, and almost dropped it, too. It was sheathed, and when pulled out, revealed a... Wooden sword? She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, and curiosity, as she wondered what the captain had in store. "I cannot give you a real sword. You'll cut yourself, or someone else." ____ only nodded. She couldn't deny it. She had no experience with weapons... And she was a natural klutz, but would never admit that.
Antonio pulled out a wooden sword of his own. "There are fundamentals to sword fighting. A wide stance. Body lowered. And your eyes are to stay on me." ____ absorbed the information like a sponge. "Raise your sword. Point it at me." ___ did as told, unsure of herself. Her eyes were locked with his wild eyes, filled with confidence. He brought up his to meet hers. Their gaze was electrifying. "Straighten your back, chica." She did as told, earning a satisfied smirk. "Bueno, muy bueno. You'll make a great crew member if you keep following orders so easily. Like a little lamb~" oh no he didn't. ____ was always independent by heart. The staff at the castle always has trouble keeping her in line. She was always disagreeing and was mischievous. A small smile tugged at her lips.
Antonio was too surprised to block the blow to his knee. A few pirates chuckled, and ____ simply put a hand on her hip. "You'll find that this lamb causes a bit of trouble, Captain Antonio." The Spaniard rubbed his knee, but was grinning like a fool. "A princess with spunk in her. I like that." Suddenly, with impressive speed and grace, Antonio advanced. He knocked the sword from her hand and brought the tip of his wooden weapon to her throat. Her (e/c) eyes were wide in shock. He was merely inches from her, and he leaned in so close that she could feel his hot breath on her lips. Her heart was pounding wildly in her chest, and seemed as though it would burst at any moment... Antonio smirked smugly. "Not so tough now, eh, ___?" She blushed madly, both from embarrassment and slight anger. ___ leaned in just a tad closer. Her eyes were still locked with the captain's. "Put down the sword and I'll show you how tough I can be..." ____ then flicked his forehead. "Captain~" Antonio was taken aback for a moment, and she swore she saw the lightest shade of pink on his tanned skin.
"Hey you bastards! Enough with the-a flirting and shit, I'm-a going to throw up!"
Antonio's confident air returned as he backed away, looking over to Romano who was by the ship's wheel. The captain grinned with a playful winked. "Is someone getting jealous?" "I'M NOT-A JEALOUS, YOU TOMATO BASTARD!" "Don't worry, Romano! Everyone knows you're my favorite bitch." His face was entirely red. ____ couldn't tell if it was a blush, or pure rage. The crew laughed. "I AM NOT YOU-A BITCH! I'LL KILL YOU, I SWEAR, YOU AND YOUR-A STUPID BASTARD FACE!"
The princess giggled as she watched the almost comical scene. ___ had to admit, these men were so much different than expected. They all seemed like a huge family. People in the castle told her that pirates were all ruthless animals, caring for no one but themselves. They'd betray each other in a blink of an eye if it meant getting something out of it.
She had even heard stories of Captain Antonio. She remembered what Elizabeth had told her.
"Elizabeth?" "Yes, dear?" She was adjusting her long, (f/c) dress as her maid cleaned the room. "My father mentioned a man named Captain Antonio... That he has him in prison... Who is he?" Elizabeth frowned, almost with pure disgust. "What a ghastly man. He tried to raid one of our trade ships." Elizabeth came up behind ___ and tied the ribbon, which she had been struggling with. "He's a handsome devil. But past his pretty face is murderous intent. He'll stab you in the back just as quick as you can take a breath!" "Yes, but..." ___ looked out the window sadly. "For someone who had lived so freely to be confined... It must be torture..." "You sound like a dunce! Why are you so concerned for the likes of him?" "Well he is still a person, with thoughts, feelings, dreams... Oh, it must be nice, to be able to sail across the seas, free..." The woman let out a sigh. "___. You're living in a fairytale. You stick your nose in those books and you dream... But the world is much darker than that. Pirates are brutes. The seas are dangerous. You are a princess. And that man is not worth your concern... You need to wake up, dear." "... Yes, ma'am... I suppose you're right... He's just a pirate, after all..." But those words were bitter in her mouth.
