"Now why don't you want to be in Gang 7 anymore, Conor?" Payne hissed at him.

"Isn't if funny how you're leaving, and I suddenly hear that Malik has gained a member." Louis growled, taking charge again.

Conor's wrists were tied together, he struggled through the constraints.

"I'm sorry." He cried like a girl, only gaining everyone's attention even more.

Louis brought his fist around Conor's face, breaking his nose dramatically.

Loyalty was very important over here, breaking it had serious consequences. Louis brought out his knife.

"Not in my flat, Louis" I uttered cautiously.

My carpet was new and I didn't want to upset Lacey. I liked having someone who wasn't in the gang that wasn't afraid of my every move. We had a clubhouse if you like, where we all live most of the time. It was an old abandoned small hotel, but we redecorated it. Usually most 'deeds' were done there. Louis ignored me.

"Any last words?" He whispered into a hyperventilating Conor's ear.

Conor shook his head. "Please-" Louis stabbed the knife deeply into him as Conor screamed out in pain. Soon it was all over. The boys laughed and Louis collected his knife back. They were used to this, if I had to hurt someone then I'd do it, but I hated how easily they could hurt one of their own, even if he was a traitor. Suddenly a large crash came from my room. I prayed that Lacey had ran.

"What the fuck was that?" Tommo shouted, running into my bedroom.

I mentally cursed myself as he reappeared, dragging Lacey towards us kicking and screaming.

"Get off me you murderer." She screamed, crying her eyes out at the lifeless body sprawled in front of her.

"How could you?" She cried.

She said it to everyone but I knew that the question was directed at me. I simply stared at the floor. Payne pulled a chair out and placed it in the middle of the room, shoving Lacey into it, and tying her up.

"Well, it appears we have ourselves a little witness." Horan smirked.

She tugged at the ropes, she'd now stopped crying, she seemed numb and broken.

"What's your name, babe?" Bones questioned her, stroking her cheek as she grimaced.

"Don't call me babe." She muttered.

Bones responded by slapping his hand across her face. The impact caught her off guard, as she cried aloud. I stood rigid, I couldn't help her - not now. It was too late. I just stood there, watching and not doing anything. I couldn't.

"Harry, please." She begged. "Let me go."

The boys all looked up at me. I gulped and strolled over to her.

"Don't you dare look me in the eye and ask me for help, ever." I spat.

"You're different. You've changed. You're not like this!" she cried.

This time it was my turn to slap her. I didn't want to but I had to, it was expected of me. This time she made no noise, she seemed more mentally hurt than anything.

"How shall we finish this one lads?" Horan asked.

"It's a shame to finish her, I can think of a lot of things I'd rather do to her than murder." Payne joked, eyeing her body up and down.

"Are you scared of me?" He whispered into her ear.

"Disgusted actually."

She was too stubborn for her own good. They'd carry on until they broke her, I'd seen it happen before. I tried to hold Payne back but he swung a punch at her, causing her lip to bleed.

"That's enough." I stated calmly and coldly, I was used to them being violent to women but it didn't get easier having to watch.

"Aw has Harry gone soft?" Tommo laughed.

He pulled his knife out of his pocket again. "Wait." I stopped him at lightning speed.

"She's clever, attractive and clearly stubborn. We could use her for our advantage, she could be one of us. I mean look at her, no one would expect her to be a member."

"Styles, if she lives she'll go to the police." Louis warned.

"She won't. I'd kill her before that happened."

I'll never forget the look of sorrow she gave me at that moment.

"You'd have to guard her every single minute until we know for sure she's one of us." Louis added.

"I know." I said confidently.

"Very well. We'll all go home tonight, and she's coming with us Harry place the blindfold on her, she can't know where the house is." Horan instructed me.

"I thought we were friends." She whispered to me.

"You mean nothing to me."

It was the only way she could stay alive and things were better this way.

Lacey's POV

"I'm not going with you." I struggled against him.

"Yeah you are love."

"I refuse to become someone like you."

He smirked.

His eyes were full of what looked like amusement. He still held his gun, and I now knew he wasn't opposed to hitting a girl. I guess I knew I'd have to do what he wanted in the end, but that didn't mean I wouldn't put up a fight. Before he could speak a crash came from the front of the house. I screamed, and the others cursed before looking at me.

"Malik's gang Steele have found us. Five seconds to make a choice. I want you alive, they will kill you as soon as they can. Choose in five, four, three, two, one."

His eyes met mine, and I glanced towards the front and the footsteps I could hear coming our way.

"You."

His hand gripped mine the moment I answered and dragged me out of the room. Shots were fired towards us and he shot some back as we ran out the back door and across the yard. He hopped the fence like it was nothing, while I was not as graceful. It gave me a chance to look back and see the people that had broken into his house. There were two standing still, glaring at us. We cut through the garden behind Harry's, and ran around the house. There was a black car parked in front of it which Harry unlocked. I didn't question anything until we were both inside and driving off. There were so many questions I had that I didn't quite know where to begin.

"...I don't have a choice about joining gang 7, do I?"

"Not at all."
