My heart rate regained its usual beat, I wasn't afraid anymore. I guess I knew that if I shut up and kept quiet, I would be okay. I hated accepting that fact, but I didn't want to push the buttons of my captors anymore than was necessary. They clearly didn't have any limits and would hurt anyone and everyone who was in their way.

I thought he was different, yet staring at the dark haired boy with crossed arms and a determined look painted across his face, he looked just like the others. I don't know what had happened to the boy who had saved me in a dark alley but he was clearly gone.

It was probably just an act - a game, and I was today's chess piece.

All I'd wanted was a quiet drink away from my brother, he was just like them. When I didn't follow his orders he'd follow the same precautions as they had. I had toughened up, I'd lose myself in a novel almost every day. I became so digested into the characters lives that I would almost forget my own.

I was interrupted from my reminiscent thoughts as the dirty blonde haired one tugged on my long hair forcefully. I winced in shock as he laughed to himself at the power he had over me. I hated him.

"Put this on." He said calmly, clutching a black blindfold. His Irish accent was very evident.

"Excuse me?" I questioned in shock.

"He said put the blindfold on. We aren't planning on giving away our location, just like that sweetheart." Harry smirked yet his eyes showed his cold seriousness inside of him.

"But seeing as I'm a fellow gang member, surely you should trust me." I spoke without thinking.

Some of them shook their heads slowly.

Niall grabbed me and pulled me closer to him, snarling into my ear, "trust is earned...You're lucky you're pretty and I'm tired, or you'd be paying for a comment like that." He added, clenching his fists.

I gulped and slowly pulled the blindfold from his outstretched hand. I was trying to disguise the fact that I was shaking.

I tied the material over my eyes, losing all the security that I had. The car began to speed up.

"Sleep tight princess." Niall whispered.

I was about to protest, before a dusty powder set me falling into a coughing fit, making everything turn black.

My eyes flickered open. My environment had changed. I looked down; I was in the arms of someone strong. My vision was still blurred, and I was in a confused haze. I struggled against the muscled arms, supporting me tightly.

"Relax, don't struggle and you'll be safe." His deep voice ushered to me, I knew who it was and I believed his words. My consciousness faded away again.

I could feel myself finally awaking. A stench mixed between alcohol and dirt drifted around me. I sat up, quickly rubbing my eyes and scanning the area. I was in a large room; it had white tiles and a red carpet in the centre. There seemed to be red stains almost everywhere. I shivered automatically to myself.

Around the room, sat the other gang members, they were smoking and enjoying the 'entertainment' of some half naked girls, lap dancing around them.

You have got to be kidding me. I sighed loudly, gaining the attention of the boys. I closed my eyes suddenly but they had already noticed that I was awake.

"Rise and shine." 'Payne' shouted towards me.

I opened my eyes alert, as Horan beckoned me towards them.

I stood up stiffly, and walked as confidently as I could. I was still slightly dizzy. I had read somewhere that when facing your fear; if you act bravely they will treat you bravely. I was using my knowledge to good use.
