Royal Academy [On Hold]

Chapter 3: New Beginnings

Annie was quite confused with the news and couldn't believe what the headmaster just said. She started breathing heavily and thought this was all a dream and pinched her arm with all her might to snap out of it but a sudden low chuckle was heard.

She turned her head and knew where the sound had came from. Her god, her idol. Annie's faced blushed to a shade of cute pink. The man beside her knew very well of the situation and looked in her eyes. She couldn't take the heat she was receiving from his glare so she stared down at her old worn out shoes.

The man beside her immediately spoke "Hello, Miss Winters. There's nothing to be afraid of. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Andrew Hendrick. The Vice President of the students council of Royal Academy. It seems someone in the council is fond of you and would like to help you enter the academy with a full scholarship."

She just couldn't believe every word that just came out of his mouth. It was just words laced with charisma. She knew she had to be careful with Andrew before she fell heads over heels for a guy which she only met like a day ago. She could barely speak let alone make a full sentence but she was eager to find out who was willing to sponsor her. A nobody from a nobody place with no ranks or anything so she opened her sealed mouth and spoke her mind out" Err...sorry to ask you something but if you don't mind may I ask who was the benefactor to this scholarship of mine ?"

Andrew froze for moment but he knew this would come and replied " I'm sorry Miss Winters that is private information that I must not be told now but in time you'll find out". She knew if she asked further there would be no valuable answer so she sat on her chair dumbstruck.

The headmaster then told her that she was to leave for Royal Academy in a day if she accepted the offer at the same time as Lucas. She will need her parents permission before she could enter so she took the entrance form and the list of items needed from the headmaster before she was asked to leave the room.

Andrew followed her out and she made her way to escort him to the front entrance of the school. While they were walking side by side all she could think about was his amazing looks. Nothing could place is cool demeanour. When they reached their destination Andrew took her hand in his and gave her a peck on her hand. She was blushing more than ever right now and she knew he knew it too.

"I hope to see you soon Miss Winters at the Royal Academy. Your presence is very valuable to me. I hope to meet you again in two days if you accept this offer that was given to you. Don't let it go to waste. A car will be waiting at your house at 3 p.m sharp" he implied.

She said goodbye to Andrew and began to walk back to her classroom when she had saw the limousine driving away down the streets. She entered her class and everyone was staring at her. She didn't know what to do so she passed the note to her teacher for her absence and made her way quickly to her seat. After 3 periods, the recess bell rang and everyone rushed out to have their lunch. She was still day dreaming at her seat when she felt something hit her head. "Ouch", she scream while rubbing her head. She picked up the thing that hit her. It was a cheese grilled sandwich her favourite and only one person knew what she loved to eat. Elise she screamed at the top of the lung. Elise came and gave her a back hug.

"I know you're gonna take the offer right to Royal Academy", said Elise. She heard the teachers talking to themselves in their break room while she was trying to hand in her history papers to Miss Angeline. She was sad that her best friend that she had known since kindergarten would move to another environment. She hope she would not forget her so soon and would always come back to visit her if she could. Annie promised her with her bond of friendship which was made 10 years ago that they would never separate.

Classes begin once again and the final bell rang at the end of the day. She rushed home to tell her parents the good news but it seems her parents already knew the news she was bringing as her mother set the table with many delicious food which she loved to eat and would not cook for her as it took a lot of time.

Her mother said she got a call from the academy this afternoon asking for her consent and her father's. Her parents knew her wish was to go to Royal Academy and gave them their permission. It was a good opportunity for her anyways as she was a bright child with a bright future ahead of her. Even though they were sad, they knew it isn't right to stop the way of life. They cried earlier after their decision and her mother made the decision to keep her company on her last two days here before she goes to Royal Academy's logging.

Annie cried and was swept with different emotions. She knew her parents were very kind to her and cherished her very well. So she went upstairs to change and ate a splendid feast with her family. As this would be her last until semester break she spend her last moments with happiness.

After dinner she started packing her necessities and clothes for her stay. It seems the list provided said uniforms will be provided so she didn't need to get one. After all her packing she couldn't sleep and went to dream about her new life which was going to start very soon.

When morning arrive, she didn't slept a wink but it wasn't a worry as she would finally get to go to Royal Academy later in the day. She rises from her bed and made her way to the bathroom before changing into her uniform for the very last time today as she wanted to say goodbye to everyone.

She was dropper off by her dad this morning and she walked off to class. She greeted and wish all her friends goodbye and would see them at the earliest time possible. When it was Elise turn she cried and hugged her. "I'm so sorry Elise, I wish I could be her with you but I need to accomplish it" she sobbed. "I know Annie, you're my best friend nobody will break us apart, what are best friends for anyways", gestured Elise.

When her final goodbye was over it was the end of the school day. She rushed home to take a quick shower and made sure to wear something decent. At 3 p.m sharp the door bell rang and she open the door. It seems Andrew had came to pick her up. His chauffer had took her bags into the trunk of the car and she wished her parents goodbye and gave them a final hug crying. She would call them every night as long as time permits.

She walked slowly to the limousine as she kept looking at the house she had been staying for years and her loving parents crying and waving at the porch. She sat quietly in the car ride gazing at the landscape. The city scenery was changed to a vast field of flowers in the countryside.

While she was admiring the view , the chauffer interrupted the peace by saying "We've arrived Master Andrew and Miss Winters".
