Part 5

Jack

"Hey Felix!" I said, walking up to him and the others sitting at the long table. We had canceled dinner last night and decided to have it today instead (it was 3 days after they planned)
"Hey!" He said cheerfully. "Where is Mark?" He asked.
I took my seat my Felix and Wade. "I have no Idea. I popped by their room but both Mark and Chase were gone." I said with a frown.
"Who's Chase?" Bob asked taking a sip from his water glass.
"Marks 'friend'" Felix said with air quotations around the word friend, which made me pretty sad at the thought of Mark being taken. My crush on that man is really out of control.
"Oh..." Bob said, setting down his glass. "I always knew that man was Gay."
Felix nodded. "I think we all did."
"So, how are things with Marzia?" Wade asked.
"Good. She is so excited for the baby." He said with a smile.
"How are you feeling about all this?" Arron asked.
"It's really... It's so surreal you know. I couldn't be happier. I am going to propose to Marzia this weekend actually... I was thinking of doing it on stage during the panel." He said.
"That's awesome! Congratulations man." I said. He pulled something from his pocket and showed it to me. It was the ring in a small box. (A/N the ring is the photo above). The ring was gorgeous!
"Felix! It is so beautiful! She is going to love it."
I gushed. He had the biggest smile as he passed the ring around the table.
"So Jack, are you seeing anyone?" He asked as everyone else talked about the ring."
"Nope." I said.
"Oh, do you like anyone at the moment?" He asked taking a sip of whatever beverage he had ordered.
"Sadly." I mumbled.
He frowned.
"Why?"
"Because... The person I love will never love me back." I said shaking my head.
I felt him put his hand on my leg in a reassuring manor.
"Hey.... Jack, you never know until you tell them. Why don't you tell her and see were it goes from there..."
I shook my head sadly but let out a small laugh.
"Well he might be seeing someone." I said.
His eyes widened with recognition.
"It's Mark... Isn't it...?" He asked quietly.
I nodded.
"You know, I don't think him and Chase are dating from what he told me about the one other relationship he was in." Felix said with a knowing smile.
"Really?" I asked looking at him.
"Yeah... Mark and I talked for hour one day and he was quite drunk. He said that he is the snuggly... Kissy, lovey dovey... kind of person."
I smiled. The idea of me and Mark snuggling on his couch, watching tv and exchange small kisses made my heart ache.
"That's cute..." I said. Felix smiled and shook his head.
"So, are you guys ready for the panel tomorrow?" Felix asked me and Ken.
"I am so pumped!" Ken said.
I laughed. "I am excited as well." I said.
After we ate and drank we all went back to our hotels. Felix and I decided to check Marks room but no one was there.
We called him but he didn't answer.
"I hope he is okay..." I said nervously biting my nails.
Felix nodded but stayed quiet.
"Do you want to come hang out with Marzia and I?" He asked.
I shrugged and followed him to their room.
"Hey Jack." Marzia said.
I smiled and said hello to her.
We all went and Marzia and Pewds sat on the couch to snuggle and I sat on the floor, against all of their complaints for me to sit on the couch.
We started watching a film but I wasn't really paying attention.
It was about halfway through and I felt my phone ringing. It was an unknown number. I don't usually answer unknown numbers but something told me I should answer this one.
I stood up and walked into the corridor.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Sean McLaughlin?"
"This is him."
"Hi. It is Robert Chase, I do believe we met early today. I need to have a word with you, Felix and whom ever else is there that is close to Mark." I was a little put off by the formality and authority in his voice.
"Alright..." I said.
"Great, I will send someone to pick you up in about thirty minutes. Please have everyone gathered by then in your room." He said.
"Okay." I said.
He said good bye and hung up.
I opened the door and stood awkwardly until Felix noticed me.
"Hey. Who was on the phone?" He asked.
"It was Chase. He wanted me to get all of the people here who are closest to Mark and wait in my room until someone picks us up... Apparently him and Mark want to speak with us." They looked at each other and back at me.
They stood up and we went to find Arron, Ken, Bob and Wade.
