Chapter 13

Ava Pov:

Those words keep replaying again. He we go all over again. The same old shit.

"Who," I said.

"I don't know," he said.

"Meet me at IHOP at 7," I said.

"Ok," he said.

I hugged up the phone. I look at the clock and it was going on 6:20. If there's one thing it's another. I can't just never live my life in peace. Something always going on.

I got out of bed and went into the bathroom to start my hygiene.

"20 minutes later"

After I got dress I just put in some sweats and t shirt. I through on some shoes.

"Where you going," he said.

"I will be right back. I got to take car of something," I said.

"Ok, love you," he said.

"Love you too," I said walking out the door.

I hopped in my truck and made my way to IHOP.

Roc Pov:

I was just about to go, til Angel stop me.

"Where you going," she said.

"I have to meet up with someone," I said.

"Who," she said.

"Nun of your business," I said.

"So you just going to leave me her al be after someone shot up our house last night," she said.

"Correction my house. I paid for it and I'm the one who has to replace everything with my money," I said.

"Whatever," she said.

"I'm out," I said.

In so ready to just be done with her. I don't know how much can I take.

Ava Pov:

I was waiting for Roc to get here. I told him to meet me here at 7. It is now going on 7:30.

All sudden I seen him coming in, making his way over to me.

"Wassup," he said sitting down in front of me.

"Your late," I said.

"I'm here ain't I," he said with an attitude

"Look drop the attitude," I said.

He let out the deep breath.

"What's up with the phone call early," I said.

"Was you listening to anything that I was saying," he said.

"Yeah, you said you think someone is after you," I said.

"Yeah," he said.

"How do you know," I said.

"Why else will they shoot up my house," he said.

"Wait a minute, your house was shot at," I said.

"Yeah," he said.

"Are you ok," I said.

"Yeah me and Angel ok," he said.

"Well that's good. Do you think you know that is after you," I said.

"Yeah, I have some people in mind," he said.

"What are you going to do," I said.

"Get the old team together, I can't to all this by myself," he said.

"How you think that is going to work. Y'all haven been together in two years," I said.

"I have my ways," he said.

"Sure you do," I said.

"You still with the crew," he said.

"Roc I can't do that," I said.

"Why," he said.

"Don't you forget I have a child I have to think about. I can't just but his life in danger," I said.

"He is my too," he said.

"I understand that," I said.

"No you don't," he said.

"What do you mean I don't," I said.

"You just don't. You playing house with Ray. That's not even his child. Do you know how much that hurts. I can't even see my child," he said.

"I hurt too. You don't understand. I was the one who didn't up and leave. I had to do it all  by myself with the help of Ray. You should be the one be on your hands and knees thanking him," I said.

"You act like I just in a bad person," he said.

"I'm not saying that. You need to grow the hell up. You got responsibilities. You want to have this thug life. But you don't know that it comes with costs. It's not all about money," I said.

"So you saying you don't want this life," he said.

"I never did. I just wanted to protect my family. I didn't plan for all this to happen. I didn't plan on killing people and having a baby," I said.

"You were the one that came to me. Don't you remember. You sign yourself up for this. This is not my fault," he said.

"You right it is never your fault," I said.

"What do you mean by that," he said.

"You never own up for your mistakes," I said.

"I don't make mistakes," he said.

"But I do, when I met you. All this will never happen if I didn't go on that date with you," I said.

"So I'm the mistake, and Anthony too," he said.

"No Anthony is not. He his really let me grow up and be a women," I said.

"A women really. You are no where near a women. Your just that scared and innocent little girl I met. Your nothing more. You don't have no friends. I was your only one there for you. I made you like this. Without me you are nothing," he said.
