Chapter 4

Ava Pov:

After hanging out with the girls, I decided to go home. It is getting late and I have work in the morning.

When I pulled up in the drive way, to see a whole bunch of cars blocking my way from getting in the garage.

What the hell. Who is all these people in my house. I decided to put my truck on behind the cars that was blocking my way.

I got out the car and walked to the front door and unlock it. When I walked in I heard people laughing.

What is going on.

I walk to the living room to see Ray and the boys laughing and watching tv.

"What the hell," I said.

"Oh hey babe," Ray said walking up giving me a quick peck on the lips.

"What is going on, why are the boys over here," I said.

"They are helping me put up Anthony's bed," he said.

"It takes five niggas just to put up a toddler's bed," I said.

"Hell yeah," Melo said.

"Let me go see how far you got," I said.

I walked upstairs to Anthony room. When I got to his room I seen that that they barely got the frame up.

I walked back downstairs back to the living.

"Y'all barely got the frame up. Y'all barely got the frame. My baby is not going to sleep in no damn frame," I said.

"Babe we are just taking a break," Ray said.

"Taking a break y'all barely did any work," I said.

"Yes the hell we did. All that work we did," Melo said.

"You didn't do anything, yo ass was to busy eating," Prod said.

"Nigga I was taking me a break," Melo said.

"Yeah several," Prince said.

"Did anybody ask for yo two cents," Melo said.

"Will y'all just shut the hell up," I said.

All of this commotion is really getting on my nerves.

"We almost done Ava don't worry, we just took a break," Prince said.

"Whatever where's Anthony," I said.

"In our bed sleep," Ray said.

"When I wake tomorrow that bed better be put together and it better not break down. Y'all agree to help him, so you are stuck in this mess. If y'all try to leave you can't I got y'all block in. Y'all shouldn't have block my spot. Good night," I said.

Ray Pov:

"Well Ray good luck," Melo said.

"Hold on where you going," I said.

"Nigga to sleep I'm tired," he said.

"You going to help me with this shit. Even if it takes all night," I said.

Ava Pov:

I woke up feeling good and I didn't  know why. I just feel different today. I looked over to see if Anthony was in the bed, but he was gone.

I got up out the bed and went to go do hygiene and got in the shower. Once I got out, I got dress in my work clothes.

I walked pass Anthony's room to see if the boys finish the bed, and they did. They did a good job.

I jogged my way downstairs and I went into the kitchen to see the boys sitting down and eating and Anthony in his booster seat eating.

"Good morning mommy," Anthony said.

"Good morning,"  I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning everybody have a nice night," I added.

"Good morning," everybody said.

"Yeah we stayed up all night, putting up the bed," Ray said.

"Thank you for doing that babe," I said giving him a kiss on his lips.

"Don't we get a thank you," Prod said.

"Thank you guys too. I have to go to work. So I will see you and Anthony later," I said.

"Ok," Ray said.

"Bye Anthony," I said.

"Bye mommy," he said.

"Bye babe," Ray said kissing my lips

"Bye," I said.

I walked out the front door and hopped and my truck and pulled off.

Once I got to work I went to go clock in. Today is going to be a long day. Hopefully I don't have many patients

"Hours later"

Five right on the dot. Finally I am free. I had this patient that was really working my nerves today. I tried to stay professional but it was so hard. I was feeling good today and that patient was just messing up my day.

I said good bye to my coworker making my way out the door. When I was walking to my truck I notice someone leaning against my car.

I made my way to my truck, when I got closer I notice the person on my truck.

It was Roc.

"What the hell, are you stocking me now," I said.

"I just wanted to talk again," Roc said.

"You could have just called me. How the hell do you know where I work at," I said.

"I have my ways," he said.

"What do you want," I said.

"Can I see Anthony," he said.

"I will invite you to his birthday party, but we are going to have a talk before you come to the party," I said.

"Are you serious," he said.

"Yeah I'm serious jackass. Now go get my damn truck," I said.

"Thank you," he said.

"Your welcome," I said.

I decided to just invite Roc to Anthony's party. He is really getting on my nerves. And showing up to my job really put the icing on the cake. Before he gets to the party in going to set him some boundaries for Anthony.

Unknown Pov:

"You ask for us boss," my employee said.

"Yes I want you to investigate my brother's murder," I said.

"Bring me something that was involve with his murder," I said.

"I got you boss," he said.

I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to solving my brother's murder.
