The bet (NanoFate)

Sitting in the classroom, Fate gets flocked by her fans "Fate~ what's wrong?" her fans say in unison "nothing..." was Fate's muttered reply and as soon as she said that the bell rang 'saved by the bell' she told herself as class started "We have a new student joining us, you can come in" the teacher invited.

Fate's PV

The girl walked in...Beautiful copper hair tied up into a side ponytail and the most wonderful shade of blue...sapphire even. I was caught staring at her when a piece of paper hits me in the back of my head...picking it up and reading it 'Hey Fate, Let's see if you can make her one of your fans, she looks like a hard nut to crack -Hayate :3' I write back 'care to place a wager?' and flick it back to her she writes something then throws it back 'If you make her yours in a year I will pay you personally 5,000 dollars' I write back 'Deal' and throw it back I almost miss her name "I'm Takamachi Nanoha, Nice to meet you" she walks to her new seat...Lucky! it's right next to me. I decide to introduce myself "I'm Fate T.Harlaown, nice to meet you" I get a nod in response....not very social are we? I decide to let her off with it though and class resumed like normal...Lunch time... Hayate pushes a near by desk to mine "Hey Fate think you can do it?" with a sly smile "Of course" then Yuuno joined "Fate hands off, she's mine" I glare at him "No way! I'm letting this one go" then Arisa joined "So Fate, Hayate told me about the bet I wager 5,000 as well" then Suzuka joined "you really shouldn't be placing a wager on these types of things" Yuuno continued the argument "Like hell I'll let you have her, ya' play girl!" I should've left it there "No chance in hell you'd have a chance with her, ferret boy" He gets up as do I and my fans are circling both me and him "Fate! Fate! Fate!" then more people joined "Fight ! Fight! Fight!" he throws a punch and I block it with my arm I throw a kick and he gets sent flying. Before I can finish him off the principal walks in "Fate T. Harlaown!" I stop in my tracks and turn my head to the door "M-Mom!" I get my ear grabbed and I get dragged to her office "OW OW OW OW LINDY HAVE MERCY!!!!!"

IN PRINCIPAL LINDY'S OFFICE

"You could've tore my ear off" I wine "Fate, I told you no fights...and what's this about a bet?" I gulp "Fate...I just want you to be happy...I feel these "fans" aren't the way to do so..." I sigh and decide to tell her about the bet "oh really?" I nod and the next thing she does is burst out laughing "w-whats so funny!?" "T-T-That's wonderful! Fate you're going to have a really hard time!" She calms down and explains "I asked her about love and if she had a boy friend...and she told me she wants true love and she knows about your harem or "fans" you are in one tight spot.". Tell me about it....

Nanoha's PV

Ohh I'm so nervous! "you may come in" I walk in and introduce myself and instantly I see a odd one out of the bunch...blonde hair and Burgundy or is it Crimson? Piercing eyes...strong but gentle I then remember what Lindy told me

FLASH BACK

"So Takamachi-san, do you have a boyfriend?" the teal haired principal named Lindy Harlaown asked "No, but if I ever do get one I want him to be loyal only to me" she starts chuckling "you're a bit cruel aren't you Harlaown-san" "Lindy,call me Lindy Harlaown-san makes me feel old, it's just my daughter,Fate is a playgirl she even has fans...but she never seems...truly happy...there's a gleam of sadness in there she smiles but never genuinely..." I saw her look to side in a depressed manner, then turned back to me "Can you maybe...become a true friend with her?...it would make her a better person and maybe she could learn from you and change her ways. Maybe with you she can be...truly happy" with a plead like that who wouldn't "OK then".

FLASH BACK OVER

Despite what she said I still have to be careful. Great...I have to sit right next to her she introduces herself to me with a smile...Lindy was right they do have a gleam of sadness. Everything was normal until lunch people starting to gather around the two blondes some calling Fate's name others yelling out to fight I dash to Lindy's office "Lindy! Fate's in a fight!" I saw a flash of worry wipe across her face but quickly changing and walking in a sophisticated manner I follow behind "Fate T.Harlaown!" I can't help wonder....what's the "T" stand for? Lindy walks to Fate and like a kid, Lindy pulled Fate's ear and dragged her I could hear her yell "OW OW OW OW LINDY HAVE MERCY!" I chuckle and walk to the guy who was sent flying "Are you OK?" I reach out to him "Yeah..." he gets up "I'm Yuuno Scrya" I nod then I hear a girl behind me yell "A.K.A FERRET BOY!" then bursting out laughing. I turned my head and saw two old friends "Arisa! Suzuka!" Arisa replied "Hey Nanoha-chan" while Suzuka had a more polite approach "Hello Nanoha-chan" Arisa then turns to the laughing hyena "That's -" before she could finish the brown haired girl finished "I'm Hayate Yagami,Nice to meet you"

Fate's PV

Well I got chewed out by Lindy pretty good....Yawning I return to the class room "Hey Fate! You are NEVER going to get Nanoha "....I really don't want to talk about this....the raccoon looks at me and by raccoon I mean Hayate "H-Hey Fate you look kind of pale...A-Are you OK?" "Fine..." I yawn out...man I think Lindy's lecture plus the little sleep I get are not mixing well for my health..."Hey Hayate where's Nanoha?" "restroom, but more importantly you're swaying are you sure your OK?" "Never been better..." total. Complete. Lie. The world begins to spin and I see black.

Hayate's PV

Fate REALLY doesn't look good... she trips and falls back "FATE!" the door opens just in time and she against Nanoha unable to hold both weight she falls on the floor, Nanoha holds Fate and takes the fall for her... "Nanoha are you OK?!" I hear a groan "is Fate OK?" I hover over her and nod "good...." she closes her eyes "N-Nanoha a-are you asleep?" silence confirms it....great now we have two passed out... "Some one call the nurse!" Arisa goes out with Suzuka I kneel down and poke Nanoha's face...cute... soon the nurse Shamal comes in and gets the two...I sigh in relief.

3 HOURS LATER

Nanoha's PV

I wake up and feel warm breath on me...opening my eyes I see Fate sleeping peacefully she looks kinda....defenseless I turn my head and see her hand linked in mine...Like a child all most...I use my other hand to stroke her hair and she huddles into my bosom...guess that means she likes it though it is embarrassing "So you're awake" I jump a bit "I'm Shamal, the school nurse nice to meet you Takamachi-san" I nod "nice to meet you too" "She was having a nightmare just a couple of minutes ago...like she was missing something next thing I knew your hand had linked to hers and she cuddled into you finally calming down." I blush slightly "From what Lindy tells me, she doesn't get much sleep because of a nightmare but Fate never tells her. So I've prepared your and her work you missed, please go back to sleep besides she getting restless already" I look over and I see my hand unlinked and Fate shaking...I grab her hand and she calms down...I take her offer and to back to sleep.
