Hey Fate, getting up on two again?

 Nanoha's PV

Damn it Fate! Somehow dragging her back to bed and getting a doctor...Lindy looks at Hayate and they go into a private room.Staying with the unconcious,Fate,I can't help but wonder what Lindy needed Hayate for. I shrug it off as I grab Fate's hand and sit on a chair...Fate now's the time where you wake up and stop scaring me...I give a light squeez, a couple hours pass...I grogily look at the clock on the wall...They've been gone for a long while...I feel my eyes slowly closing.

Fate's PV

I've been laying here pretending to be asleep with a incredible urge to tinkle...wait..did I say tinkle? See? I can't even think correctly!Opening my eye I see her sleeping...good news I can go to the restroom....Bad news she's still holding my hand...I try to sneak out, she groans and tightens her grip...Looking at her again...she looks like she's sweating...I move closer...then a little more closer, our faces about a inch apart...I decide to close it and kiss her forehead...Salty...I quickly move away when I see her move...Oh god I hope she didn't wake up...Sneaking my hand away, I get up and head to the restroom and finally go...Sweet...realief....Heading back to the bed, she's still asleep...What a heavy sleeper. It's sort've cute. W-Wait Fate get a hold of yourself, you only need her for the bet...That's it...Right? Walking over to her, it seems her nightmare is gone...Maybe I- wait wait wait wait...Hold up Fate. What is wrong with you?

I mean sure, she's useful for the bet...but nothin' else right!...I somehow don't believe that...It came from my own mouth and with such confidence...But I don't believe it...seeing her slowly wake up...she looks at me with a bit of drool "Fate...Don't go..." she snaps awake and grabs my hand "A-Are you ok!? What hap-" I stop her "Look I'm fine, Hayate and I got into a bit of a disagreement" She cares wow...Great now I feel like a jerk "Fate, you shouldn't expect others to believe something like that...Now tell me how you fell. Or do you expect me to just be satisfied with a "I just lost my balance" ? " I sigh...She's really pushing it...Maybe just maybe, she really cares about me and my well being

I think for a moment to consider how she would react if I told her Hayate pushed me. It's better if I don't chance it. "I really just fell though...Hayate tried to catch me but she missed. Honestly." I felt horrible lying to her but it really doesn't matter with the lie I'm living with now. "Hmmm...I don't believe it, but I'll let you off the hook for now." At that moment Lindy and Hayate walk in, she glares at me and I throw a glare back "Fate, they say you can released in a week, but please tell me how you fell." I look at her for a moment before glancing back at Hayate who had a scared look, damn my soft heart.

"I fell back and Hayate tried to catch me...Though it was too late." Lindy gave me her famous stare that would get anybody to fess up. I try my absolute hardest not to break under it, I was about to fess up when Lindy sighed and her look went back to normal "Honestly...I keep telling you not to go out at night.". I let out a sigh of my own and look to Hayate while mouthing 'You owe me big time.' . She nodded and after a good two hours both leave, I was about to relax when Nanoha looked at me as if she knew something.

" Fate...You lied to Lindy, didn't you?" I froze and gulped before shaking my head with a nervous laugh "I-I have no idea what you're talking about!" real smooth me...I guess my lying power got real low when Lindy gave me her stare. "Tell me what happened." she put a hand over mine and leaned it, a blush painted my cheeks and honestly, I wish I just could've been thrown outside the window again. That was much easier to deal with than a cute brunette leaning in on you. Wait 'cute'?....No. No no no. This is for the bet dammit... These thoughts, this feeling are definitely NOT allowed.

"I fell. End of story dammit. Now good night." my frustration was let put on her and I feel absolutely horrible for my tone...But if she hates me, then it works in my favor as well....It won't be as hard to tell her about the bet. Instead out of the corner of my eye, she smiled softly and with care she hugged me...Christ this girl is making it hard to be mean. Slowly pulling away she smiled at me, I probably had a tomato red face looking at her... "I understand that you don't want to talk...But make sure you tell someone the truth." before I could even reply she waved and said "Bye-bye." before leaving the room.

I wish this damn bet was never made so I could've met and been friends maybe even lovers with Nanoha....It's more than likely that that raccoon will blab and I'm on her hated list...I could feel tears threatening to fall as I lay down on the bed, I couldn't fight them as a tear formed...I lifted my arms over my eyes and let my tears fall...Maybe a good cry would clear my mind.
