Jenny ran out of the house with the envelope in her hand, not giving a care of it was still pouring out. She was still in jer pijamas, but didn't care to put on her jackets. She cried and huffed as she ran back to Brenda's house, stomping on the puddles. She ran up the steps and stood in front of the door, cold and soaked.

She pounded on the door and waited impatiently for the door to open. "Open the door Bre." She cried and jumped around. "Bre, come on." She frowned and pounded the door again, this time harder. Seconds later, the door opened and out came Brenda, still in her pajamas.

"Jenny? What are you doing here?" Brenda asked as she looked around the area surrounding her house. Jenny whimpered and sniffled and shivered as she was all wet and scared. "Come in." Brenda grabbed Jenny and pulled her in the house, closing the door behind her.

"What were you doing out there in the rain?" Brenda asked as she pouted hot water in a mug. Jenny shook a bit as she was covered by a blanket that Bre gave her. "I-I came to t-talk to you." Jen stammered. Brenda opened a cabinet and took out a little green box. She opened the box and pulled out a little packet. She ripped the packet open and made the tea. She added a bit of sugar and walked to Jenny. "Here, drink this." Brenda smiled a bit as she gave the warm mug to Jenny. "Thanks." Jen smiled and took a sip of the drink.

"Let me get you some clothes." Brenda informed and walked into her room, leaving Jenny in the dining area. Jen looked around, taking small sips of the tea Bre gave her.
She looked at some pictures that hung on the walls in dining area. She smiled at the pictures of the two of them together at Disneyland or of Brenda's family. She chuckled at one of the photos of the two as they made funny faces and wore weird costumes.
Minutes later, Brenda came out with a pile of clothes in her hands. "I think they fit. Despite the fact that you have more ass than me." Bre joked and gave Jenny the clothed. Jenny smiled and grabbed the clothes. "Thanks Bre." Jen thanked and stood up. "Let me change, then we need to talk." Jenny said and walked into the restroom. Brenda on the other hand, went to her bedroom and tried to fix the mess she left. "So many envelopes." She whispered to herself and picked up the ones on the floor. She threw them all in the trash and picked up the ones on the floor. "Fourty-one letters in less than a month. Wow." Brenda sighed at the view of her full trash can.

"Brenda?" A soft voice said from the hallway. "I'm in my room." Brenda informed. Footsteps were heard and were getting closer by the second. In the doorway, Jenny stood there with fresh new clothes and clean. "Did they fit?" Brenda asked as she put on her blue bunny slippers. "Yup." Jenny smiled and walked into the room. Brenda sat on her bed and patted the spot next to her. Jen gladly sat next to her and sighed.

The atmosphere in the room was warm and cozy. The girls at quietly next to each other, awkwardly.

"So, why are you here?" Brenda finally spoke and asked. Jenny looked down at her feet and whimpered.
"Did you come to apologize?" Brenda asked and placed her hand on her friends shoulder. Jen kept quiet and continued to look down. "I forgive you." Brenda smiled and went in for a hug. Jenny didn't react at all. She stayed there like a doll, not moving or anything.

"Thats not it." Jenny sighed and patted Brenda's arm. Bremda made a face and shurgged her shoulders. "What is it then?" Brenda asked and looked down at her friend.

"Ummmm...." Jen paused. There was a long silence in the room, which caused the rain to sound louder and echo in the house. The dropping of the rain hitting the roof raised the tension in the room.

"Jenny, what's the matter? You're acting a bit strange." Brenda said with a worried look. Jenny didn't say anything. She just looked at the ground. "Jen?" Brenda asked softly once again.

"Brenda, I checked my mail today." Jen said, causing Brenda to pull away from the hug. "Yea and?" Bre scoffed and looked at her friend. Jenny looked at Brenda with a straight face and finally spoke.

"I got an envelope." Jenny said with a straight face. Brenda raised her shoulders and raised an eyebrow at her friend. "So?" Jenny rolled her eyes at her friend, thinking thay she was so stupid right now.

"Brenda, I got an ENVELOPE." Jenny repeated, thinking if her friend got the message.

"Holy Fuck." Brenda gasped. "When does it say?" Brenda asked and stood up from her bed. Jenny cried and hugged herself as she looked down at the ground, letting the tears fall down her face and land on the floor.

"October 16." Jenny finally said. Brenda's eyes got wide and gasped as she felt bad for her bestie.

"The day of my birthday." Jenny pouted.
