A/N: Most names of towns, villages and kingdoms (and the Games) are Latin words. If you type them into Google translate they will each mean something. Also, if you click the video above you can listen to epic music while reading. It's 2 full hours; it will be posted on each chapter. Enjoy!

The booth was as unloving as the cold metal that made up the trains they would give you passage to. I cleared my throat, "One ticket to Lugebit, please, to the Renegade Station."

"That will be 10 gold coins for the non-VIP. If you want the VIP cart it'll be 25 coins. Name?" The stocky woman behind the booth said in an irritating, mono-tone way.

"Non-VIP. Kayelana Crystalbrook." I handed her the payment.

"Go to Platform 9, right through the doors to the right. You going to watch the Pugnam Games?"

"Compete actually." With her flat brown eyes she sized me up, they always do.

"Good luck. Here's your ticket."

"Thanks." I walked a few paces through the door to the platform, with two bags, one in each hand. One was a duffel bag containing all my gear, the other was a huge bag that held everything else I would need for my 10 days before the real 4-day competition would begin. And they were really heavy. Lugging around my weapons alone is difficult on a good day.

The thin mist made the silver-steel train look much more epic than it really was on a dim-lit morning. I shuffled to it, trying to move as quickly and best as I could with the rush of people trying to get aboard. Most would be spectators at the annual competition held in either the capital, Pretiosum; or either of the two wealthiest and important villages, Cristallum or Adamantes. This year was the only exception because this one village (Lugebit, my destination) manged to produce enough corn to feed more than two-thirds of the capital's population, they earned the honor of hosting the most famous event of the year (the Pugnam Games) in our kingdom, Regnum.

I found a seat in one of the middle cars in the back. I plopped down on the faded red velvet cushion and slid a bag under my feet and the other on the seat next to me, using it as a barrier against unwanted conversation between creepy people. I'm not into being friendly to random people, unless they have a good vibe about them, I try not to talk because I usually mess up something and embarrass myself. Just because I can use a bow and look cocky doesn't mean I'm bold all the time. But don't get me wrong, I am confident, but not bubbly.

The train pulls away.

I try to forget everything and wait for sleep to come, since I've been packing, running around and trying to not get pick-pocketed for the past three days to get to this train. Sleep comes quickly.
