Chapter 28: Nearing the end

It was a mad house.

The birthday party was finally over and guess who was left to clean up the me, oh yeah that's right me! Everyone had either gone home or gone upstairs to crash for the night leaving me with all the cleaning. Obviously my three twatty brothers had gone home to their individual houses with their mates and yes they finally got their own houses so they could start their own families, Karen and Michael are sleeping in one of our guest rooms, zander and xavier popped over also which was nice but they obviously left a while ago, Hugo and Holly are staying upstairs along with Theo and his newly discovered mate. We thought it would've been cheaper and easier if we just let them stay at our place I mean we definitely have enough room and the boys love spending time with the family.

Sighing deeply I took my engagement ring and wedding ring off before putting on my rubber gloves and getting to work, oh did I forget to mention Hunter and I got married in the spring when the boys were 2. He proposed in the most beautiful way it was when we were on our family holiday in LA, we had left the boys in the hotel room with Theo (who was mateless at the time so was more than happy when we offered him a free holiday) while we went out to the pier for a date night and just as we were on the top of the Ferris wheel he proposed. Now I know this is probably how a lot of people have proposed but it was truly beautiful. The ring it's self is too magnificent to put into words, it has a big black cushion cut diamond in the centre with two rings worth of black and white diamonds surrounding it all white being elegantly balanced on a single band ring which is also dusted with diamonds wait her side of the gem. As for my wedding ring it had to be simple so it doesn't clash with my perfect engagement ring so we settled for a single band eternity ring that has five rows horizontally of white and black diamonds (one black row at the bottom, three white across the middle and another black across the top) it is the most amazing wedding ring I've ever seen now I probably sound like I'm just saying this because he's my mate but wow... All the diamonds! For Hunters ring he had this crazed idea that men can't have diamonds on their rings and that it has to be plain I managed to convince him slightly that it's okay but he wouldn't go for any big diamond instead he went for a matte black wide width ring with one thin row of diamonds in the centre going around the whole circumference of the ring, on either side of the ring it had a thin silver wire like pattern just to look more manly. Notice the theme of black and white here, see Hunter planned it out perfectly with my engagement ring because he said that the black and white symbolises our wolves and how by themselves they're beautiful but when they're together they can create a masterpiece. Sweet I know.

After finishing the leaning tower of dishes I took my gloves off and placed my precious rings back on my ringer where they belong taking a second to look at how they sparkle even in dull lighting. Turning around I walked straight into a hard chest causing me to hit my nose quite hard may I add. Glaring up at the source of chuckling while rubbing my poor nose I noticed it was none other than my slightly annoying but irritatingly sexy mate, how the hell does he always sneak up on me! Honestly I've lost count the amount of times he's made me jump or I've walked into him it makes me wonder how my nose hasn't broken yet.

"Don't give me those dagger eyes you were the one not paying attention, too busy looking at your diamonds tsk tsk tsk" Hunter leans his hard body against mine trapping me between him and the counter with his arms either side of me hands gripping the surface.

"Maybe if I didn't have a freaking ninja as a mate I would've heard you coming" flicking his nose I smile up at him cheekily.

Leaning in closer until his soft lips are grazing my ear he whispers "oh baby you always know when I'm coming in fact you happen to be the loudest out of both of us" finishing with a kiss on my mark he pulls away smirking at my scarlet face.
