Chapter 21: I can handle this... Sorta

After the doctor gave us the news I felt like crying, the happiness just consumed me as both of our babies appeared on the screen.

"There are the legs of the first one, just there you can see the head. Oh if you look here you can see the hands." The doctor spoke formally but made no attempt to hide the grin on his face.

Looking up at Hunter I could see tears brimming his eyes as he looked at the screen wrapping my hand around his, his eyes snapped down and burned into mine. All I could see was complete adoration as he used his free hand to slowly cup the side of my face making me lean into his addictive touch.

Leaning down into my ear I heard Hunter whisper "i love you" before placing a light kiss on the end of my nose.

"I love you too" lightly chuckling I kissed him on the lips before returning our gazes to the screen.

"HUNTER! You've got to stop carrying me everywhere!" I giggled as he carried me through the house and down the stairs to the dining room.

He placed me in a seat next to his at the head of the table where both our families were sitting. Jacob and Evie (who turned out to be mates which I'm extremely happy about), Rose and Tyler who are now dating, max and finally Zander who were not dating. Now we are just waiting for Hunters family to arrive. When I was kidnapped they took me back to the UK which I guess worked out in our favour.

Everyone was talking when I heard the timer for dinner go off, pushing my chair back Hunter helped me stand up and walked with me to the kitchen. Picking me up he placed me on the counter as he took the food out of the oven and placed it on the side. I tried to offer my help but he refused to let me go anywhere near the oven so I hopped off the side and began sorting out the platters for everyone, there was a lot of food and I mean a lot of food. Over 15 different dishes where they could help themselves and 12 different drinks available, it takes a lot to feed werewolves especially since over half of them are males. After we had finished organising the food we called everyone out to come help us carry in the servings. Just as I was setting out the cutlery the doorbell went but before anyone could answer it the door burst open with Lelia leading the way, sprinting over to me she engulfed me in a massive hug. Looking over her shoulder I could see Hunter growling at how tight she was hugging me, I smiled at him which seemed to have made him relax more as he began making his way over to greet the rest of his family.

"Omg omg omg! I've missed you so much! Holy shit you've put on some weight." Lelia started laughing as she looked down at my huge baby bump.

Before I could reply Lelia was torn away from me and replaced with Karen who was beaming at me brightly. "FINALLY! Hunter I was beginning to worry you were shooting blanks. Oh sweetie look at you you're glowing, I see you've kept him busy." Karen winked at me causing my cheeks to burst into flames as Hunter came up behind me and wrapped his big arms around my waist.

Leading them into the dining room I was about to introduce them to my family when Max stood up from his seat causing it to fall back and crash loudly on the wooden floor.

"Mate!" Was all was heard as Lelia and max walked around the table to embrace each other.

We all stood in shock before erupting into cheers and congratulations for the new couple. They both took their seats next to each other while hunter and I sat at the head of the table, we all said grace for Hunters parents sake before digging into the dinner we had prepared.

At the end of dinner Hunter quietly excused himself saying he needed to go to the bathroom but returned a few minutes later with a birthday cake which was pure white with gold writing at the top saying "happy 20th Ember and Tyler".

During the craziness I had forgotten it was my birthday and that I had been with Hunter for just over a year already. Everyone began singing happy birthday as Max flicked the lights off, Tyler and I blew out the candles as the room erupted into claps.

The lights were flicked back on as Hunter and I began to make our speech. "I would like to thank everyone for coming to Ember and Tyler's birthday meal/baby shower, I would also like to thank everyone for the presents We have received for both the baby and myself. Before we cut the cake I think it's best to tell you what's happening, well inside this cake contains either pink or blue maybe both which resembles the fact we are having a boy or girl. We don't know what colours they are either the only people who know are the doctor and the baker who made this cake. Well... Here goes nothing" Hunter and I finished our speech before anxiously cutting into the cake.

Everyone gasped as the colours were revealed.
