The Doctor's POV

Clara. The girl twice dead, going on three tines if The Doctor didn't get her out of his own timestream. The Doctor wasn't going to let her die, not again. Without second thought, The Doctor had entered his own timeline, wading through memories, shadows; ghosts of himself. His main aim - to find Clara. She was a tiny heap on the floor, clutching her knees and sobbing. She hadn't believed that The Doctor was really, truly there, she thought that he was just another ghost, until he had pleaded,
"Come on Clara, just once, just for the hell of it, let me save you!"
Clara was always this stubborn, never letting him save her. She had two steps, then she would be in The Doctor's arms, Clara, his perfect impossible girl. A look of doubt passed her face, but quickly vanished and she began to gingerly walk towards him.
She was inches away from The Doctor, when a blinding flash of white light filled the area. The Doctor didn't know what had just happened, and couldn't see anything. A thousand thoughts rushed to his mind, but locating Clara and making sure she was safe was his main focus right now.
He forced his eyes open, the light leeaving them stinging, with tiny black dots filling the space where Clara was each time he blinked. He called out her name, first quietly, then a little louder, with no reply both times. It wasn't like Clara to do that, perhaps she was afraid and was silent in order to prevent being heard? Knowing that Clara was clever in the face of danger, he listened carefully to try and hear her breathing, again, with no result. He stumbled round his own timestream, trying to feel if Clara was there, flailing round as if he was playing 'Blind Man's Buff' His eyes finally adjusted and he looked around, and a terrible sinking feeling hit him, Clara was gone.
