As we rushed through the woods, my mind went back to the beginning of this whole mess.

When I was five, I was picked up by a pair of vampires to be their human pet. By the time I was fifteen (a month ago), I had caught the eye of the king.

I knew every vampire in the clan and had half the guys after me. Everytime I walked into a room, a fight would break out.

The king had to meet the person who caused most of these fights by simply breathing.

He took quite a liking to me after spending several weeks talking to me. Eventually, he had made it clear to the other vampires that 'the lovely young human' was going to be his queen.

Two of his personal guards were placed at my side at all times. I spent so much time with my guards that I actually became really close to one of them.

On the night of my birthday, the guard I had grown close to, John, decided to take me out to see the night sky. I hadn't seen it since I was five. It took my breath away.

While I was distracted, John made his move. He meant to kiss me, but the scent of my blood and the sound of my thumping heart distracted him.

He sank his fangs into my neck, releasing vampire venom into my bloodstream. Before I could scream, he was torn away from me.

I was pinned down by a large gray wolf. His claws dug into my shoulders, releasing another type of venom.

Pain filled me for three minutes as the venom turned me into the first werewolf-vampire hybrid.

When I could think clearly again, I noticed that the gray wolf was gone and that I was surrounded by a group of teenage guys.

One of them crouched in front of me and held out his hand. He helped me to my feet.

"Are you okay,"he asked me.

"Yeah. I'm good," I answered.

He gave me a nod and looked at the others.

"Did any of you scratch her," he asked.

A silver haired guy, Hank, said he had. The boy who helped me up turned back to me, the silver tag on his black collar swinging.

"Did you feel any pain," he asked. I think he already knew what had happened but wanted his suspicions confirmed.

I nodded my head. He thought for a moment before explaining to me that he was going to take me back to his base.

As we walked, I told them about my life in the vampire clan. In turn, Lucas, the guy who helped me up, told me that the vampires were beings of evil.

He told me that werewolves were created to protect humans from vampires and that they were considered angels.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The vamps had never tried to hurt me, yet I found myself excepting the fact.

A strange thirst had come over me and when I told Lucas, he had told me they would find some way to fix that. It was the vampire part of me acting up.

When we got to the Den, we went straight to the Danger Room. There, Lucas wondered if maybe, since I was part wolf, if I could transform.

Eager to find out, I did as he instructed me to. After about five seconds, my senses became sharper and I got lower to the ground.

Everyone around me had strange looks on their faces. I transformed back.

"You became a black wolf,"Lucas stated, clearly awestruck.
