I woke up with Connors arms tightly wrapped around me. I could hear his steady breathing in my ear. I could smell a faint smell of waffles. I grabbed Connors hand and slipped out of his grasp. I went to stand up but was pulled back down.

"Connor let go." I said grabbing his hand.

"Stay." He said into my ear and I could feel him smile, "five more minutes."

I could hear footsteps downstairs in the kitchen. I looked at Connor and have him a look to let me go. He did and got up with me. We both crept downstairs and saw Riley in the kitchen with my mom.

"Good morning, Sweety!" My mom sang. She turned around and a look of surprise shadowed her face when she saw a shirtless Connor. "And uhh Connor." She said looking at Riley and then back at me.

We smiled awkwardly and went to sit at the table with Riley. The three of us sat there in complete silence. I don't even think we were breathing. I looked up at Riley and he was giving a death glare to Connor. Connors head was down and he was twiddling his thumbs under the table. My mom walked in interrupting our silence and placed the plate of waffles on the table and the syrup.

"Eat up!" She said unsure if she should question anything.

Riley happily took a waffle as if nothing was going on and Connor still refused to pick up his head.

"I'll be right back." I said and got up to get Connor a shirt.

*Connor's POV*

"Look at me." I heard Riley say. I didn't move I just sat there staring at my lap.

"I hate you." He said between his teeth. Chills crept up my back hearing those words come from my little brothers mouth. "I hate you so much." He said again. My heart split.

"Why'd you do it, Connor? You can't even look at me." I wanted to look up at him so bad but I was afraid to see the anger in his face, the disappointment.

"How many times were you in her pants, Connor?" He said and I flinched. How'd he know that? "Is that all you used her for?" He asked his voice getting louder. "All you want from her is sex and you know it. I respected her. She doesn't need you. She needs me. You are worthless." He said and I clenched my fists.

*Ali's POV*

"You are worthless." Riley said as I walked into the dining room with a grey tshirt for Connor.

"Oh, welcome back, Al." He said with a smile. I ignored his smile and looked over at Connor. He was sitting there and he seemed to be breathing heavier and his fists were clenched so tights his knuckles were white.

"What else did you say to him?" I asked Riley sternly. Connor doesn't get upset that easily.

"You don't need him. He doesn't respect you. All he wants from you is what every other guy wants. As a boyfriend he's worthless." Riley said. I became enraged. How does he say that about his own brother?

"Get out." I said softly.

"What?"

"Get. Out." I said louder.

"Ali, come on. You know I'm right."

"Get out of my house, Riley!" He looked at me in shock and got up and walked out. I waited for the sound of the door closing before I went over to Connor. He was still just sitting there breathing heavy with his fists clenched. I straddled him in the chair and lifted his face up with my hands. His eyes were glasses over. He was trying so hard not to cry.

"Let it out." I said. "Just let it out. Cry. You have a reason." I said and now my eyes were getting blurry. He looked at me and a single tear rolled down his face. I wiped it away and pulled him closer to me. I ran my fingers through his hair and let him sob into my shoulder.

"He hates me." He sobbed. "He thinks I treat you like shit." He said looking at me. I moved his bangs away from his face and shook my head.

"But you dont."

"I'm sorry if you feel like I only use you for what Riley said but I don't. I love you."

"I don't agree with Riley. I know you dont. I love you too." I said and pulled him close again. "Things will get better."
