Levy's POV
I wake up and it's around 10:00 A.M. Tomorrow is the first day of school, so I text Lucy.
Levy-Do you want to go to the mall and get a couple new outfits?
Luce-Sure, I'll meet you at your house in 15!
I start getting ready. I put on a pair of denim shorts and a purple shirt with a matching headband. I'm sitting on the couch, when I hear my stomach growl. I get up off the couch and walk to the kitchen to make a bowl of cereal. After I make my cereal, I walk to the couch and turn on the T.V. When I find a show to watch I start eating my cereal. I hear a knock at the door, I get up and let Lucy in. Then I put my bowl in the sink, put on a pair of black Converse, yell to my mom that I'm going to the mall with Lucy, then walk out the door.
Lucy and I agreed that we should walk to the mall. It was a nice day, and the mall was only a couple blocks away from my house. We get to the mall and first we visited Hot Topic. From Hot Topic, I tried on a couple new pairs of shorts and skinny jeans, plain colored dresses, colorful headbands, and some sweaters. Lucy picked out new tank tops and colorful skirts, she also got a couple pairs of skinny jeans and sweaters as well.
"Do you think I should get all the stuff I tried on?" I asked.
"Definitely, every thing makes you look amazing. Maybe you can get a boyfriend," she said with a smirk.
"I kinda wanted to focus on school, keep my grades up, but if it happens I won't stop it," I said blushing.
We both realized we needed new bras and panties. We went to Victoria's Secret and picked out a couple bras to try on. I got a plain white one with lace on the bottom of the cup, and a plain black one that had the same lace. I tried them on and thought that they helped accentuate my features. We walked out and I noticed Lucy got ones similar to mine.
"OMG TWINSIES!!" she yelled in a funny voice. I just started busting up laughing.
Once we were done getting clothes we decided to go out to lunch.
"Where do you wanna eat?" I asked.
"I'm having a craving for Chinese food!" Lucy said excitedly.
"Chinese food it is!"
We went to a family owned Chinese restaurant I knew about. I ordered chow mein, with teriyaki chicken. Lucy got a mixture of rice and chow mein with BBQ pork. We ate the the place and just chatted about school tomorrow.
"Are you looking forward to school?" She asked me.
"I'm just excited to be able to go to the library again!" I spoke excited.
"Of course you are!" She said laughing.
When I looked at the time it was almost 2:30.
"I think I should go, my mom is probably worried about me," I said
"Okay, I'll walk you. My car is at your house anyways," Luce said.
We started walking home, and we noticed that there were some dark clouds on the horizon.
"Do you think it's going to rain?" Lucy asked.
"Probably within the next few days." I replied
"So we are going to be able to wear our new pants and sweaters!" Lucy sounded excited.
"Yeah," I said giggling.
We finally got to my house. We were walking up to my door, when my mom walked out.
"Hey mom, where are you off to?" I asked her.
"I'm just going to the store to pick up some stuff for dinner. Do you want to come with?" She questioned.
"Not really. I was kind of hoping I could put something comfy on and relax." I replied.
"Okay, sweetie! I'll see you when I get home, okay?"
"Okay mom. I love you. Drive safe okay?" I said.
"Alright honey. I love you too!" She said walking away.
I said goodbye to Lucy and gave her a hug. After she left, I went into the house and walked up to my room. I changed into a pair of pajama shorts and a t-shirt and put my hair into a pony tail. I walked down to the living room and turned on the T.V., I scrolled through the channels and saw nothing that interested me. I decided to put on a movie. The movie I picked was a horror, I loved them, it was the new remake of Poltergeist. As the first jump-scare came up and my house phone rang, which scared me worse than the jump-scare. I paused the movie and picked up my phone. I was my mother's number, so I picked it up.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Are you Ellen McGarden's daughter?" The strange man asked.
"Yes, who is this and how did you get my phone number?!" I asked, sounding worried.
"This is the police. I need you to come down to the police station," He said.
"I don't have a way to get down there," I said worried
"We will send a cruiser to pick you up," He said.
I changed into some pants, but kept my shirt on. I heard my doorbell ring, I walked to the door and let the police man in.
"Do you know what this is about?" I asked worried
"They will tell you when they get there," He said in a stern voice.
We got in the car. It was a very silent car ride over there. Once we got there he walked to to the man that called my house.
"Are you Levy McGarden?" He questioned.
"Yes, can you tell me what this is about? What happened to my mom?!" I said worried
"She was in a terrible car accident." He said quietly.
"Is she okay?" I said with tears in my eyes.
"She didn't make it, I'm so sorry." He said sadly.
I felt so alone, and so sad. Both of my parents are dead.
Flashback- 8 years ago
My dad was getting something from the convenient store, when someone walks in with a gun. They were holding everyone up. My dad was trying to get out while the robber was distracted, the man noticed and shot him on the spot. The police showed up and tried the best they could to save him but he hit a major artery in his heart. Me and my mom were devastated. I would hear her cry herself to sleep at night.
Flashback ends
I don't know what to do, so I call Lucy
"Lucy.. I'm st the police station, can you come pick me up?" I said crying.
"What's happened?!" She said very worried.
"M-my mom is d-dead.." I said between tears.
"Oh, Levy. Do you want me to come stay with you tonight?" She asked quietly.
"Y-yes, please..." I agreed.
"Okay, I'll be there in 20."
We hung up the phone. I sat there crying my eyes out. I can't believe it. Both of my parents, gone. I have no one. As I sit there crying, Lucy walks up to me and sits beside me. She gives me a big hug, I then put my head on her shoulder and cry. She whispers comforting things into my ear. All I want to do is sleep.
"Can we..go home and sleep please?" I said between breathes.
"Yeah, let's go" She said
We walked to her car. I was a quiet ride there, other than the sound of my tears. We got to my house.
"Will you sleep in my bed with me? I don't wanna be alone."
"Of course. You're never alone, I'm always here." She said sweetly.
We walked up to my room and laid in my bed, then went to sleep.
