Levy's POV
"I have to go," I tell Gajeel.
"Okay." He didn't sound too happy, but I already had plans.
"We can hang out after if you want," I say.
"It's fine, I'll just see you tomorrow."
"Alright," I say.
I feel terrible. I feel like I shouldn't leave. I'm so confused. I don't know how I feel.
Fuck, Levy! You shouldn't be thinking about this now. You have a date, but is it with who I want it to be?
I get a text from Rouge.
Rouge: Are you ready?
Bluenette: Yeah
Rouge: Okay, I'm on my way
Bluenette: Okay, let me know when you're here.
I'm not really as excited as someone would be for a date, but I have a reason for that. As I zone out in my thoughts, my phone goes off.
Rouge: I'm here
Bluenette: Okay, I'll be down in a few
I take one last look in the mirror, put a loose beanie on and go downstairs. I see his car and walk to it. I get in and smile.
"Hi," I say climbing in the car.
"Hey, want dinner or coffee?" he asks.
"Well, I am pretty hungry," I answer.
"Dinner it is," he pulls off and starts driving. I change the radio station when Ride comes on. I hum along, not wanting to sing. We go through about three or four more songs before we get to where he's taking me. I look out the window and it seems to me a semi-fancy restaurant.
"If I knew we were going to a kinda fancy place, I wouldn't have worn this," I say.
"It's fine, it looks more fancy on the outside." Relief fled over me. He parks the car and we walk into the restaurant and we get a table almost immediately. We sat in the back near a window. I enjoyed looking out windows and watching everything be busy. I was looking out the window when the waitress gets my attention.
"What can I get you two to drink?" she asks.
"Can I get green tea, please," I say
"I'll take a coke" he says. She writes it down and walks away. I look back outside the window and he looks over to me. I feel him just staring at me and I'm starting to get me uncomfortable.
"Can I just ask why you're staring at me," I ask him.
"Oh, sorry. I just can't believe that you agreed to go out with me. You're so beautiful" he answered. I don't know what to think because I barely know him and he's saying things like this. I ignore what he said and I look back out the window. I can still feel him staring at me, but I choose to ignore it. All of a sudden I feel something on my leg. He's trying to play footsie with me. I act like I didn't know what he was doing and move my feet back under my legs and cross my ankles. The waitress comes back with our drinks and I thank her. I move my tea closer to me and grab a few sugar packets an rip them open. I dump them in my tea and stir it with my spoon. I sit there looking out the window unti, he tries to start a conversation.
"I want to get to know you." He says to me. I look away from the window.
"Okay well, what do you wanna know?"
"Everything."
"Well, you know what school I go to, you know where I live-"
"Who do you live with?" He asks.
"My best friend."
"Your parents let you move out in high school?" He didn't know about my parents, only Lucy and Gajeel knew.
"I guess you could say that," I chuckle trying to fight the tears that would come anytime now.
"That's cool."
The waitress comes back and asks if we were ready to order. He looks at me and I nod.
"What can I get you?"
"I'll get the bacon cheeseburger with no onion."
"Do you want fries or mashes potatoes?" She asked him
"Fries." I don't like that he's not be in polite.
"And for you," she said looking at me.
"I'll have chicken tenders and mashes potatoes, please."
"Would you like gravy on your potatoes?"
"Yes, please," I say.
"Okay, I'll be back with your food," she smiled.
"Thank you," I smile back. I look back out the window trying to hide me being annoyed with Rouge's rudeness. Ten minutes of silence pass and the waitress comes back with our food. I'm impressed with the quick service and I'm thinking of giving her a decent tip.
