A heard of pegasi

The figures fully formed , they were pegasi at least eleven all landed on the school field , there was stallions, pintos, palominos , and many more , their coats matched their magnificent wings. When they all had landed safely I noticed they all had riders too. In fact I knew most of the riders Tiffany and cole , Jackson , Olivia ,Mitchell , Dylan ,and Jessica my best friend and a like three other kids that I have never seen before. The unknown kids looked different the had perfect posture , their pegasi seemed more enchanting , they looked like they had complete control on everything that was around them .

When they all landed , I glanced at Jessica who looked very nervous , she waved , I exchanged a couple other glances with the people I knew . Then one of the unknown kids slid of her white Pegasus , she looked around 15 but I was just guessing , she had long black hair that was stringy from all the rain. She was tall and held her head high , she looked tough and cautious . She stood in front of all of us , none of us had spoken a word since we had all landed .

She scratched her cheek and took a breath

"hi my name is Penny , I will later explain more on what all this means later." she gestured at all the pegasi " But you all must trust me . "She glanced at one of the other unknown kids , the kid was a boy who looked like he was around 13 , he also looked tough , but more laid back , he had short , blond , shaggy hair , he was also tall , he had a soft but fierce face , he wore a simple Tshirt and plan pants and sneakers . The third unknown kid , sat with his head faced down , his hood covered his face , the only details I could really point out was how tall , and how buff he looked . Well and the dark shadow that seemed to dance in his un-described face .

" Dan can you please show them ?" penny asked . Dan dismounted his proud dark chocolate stallion . He walked over to where Penny was standing and the next thing I knew he was completely different . He was no longer wearing casual clothes . He was now wearing black shoes , and black pants that had many pockets , and he seems to be wearing a black army jacket , but his eyes turned a stormy Gray , his eyes looked mad and wild. He also had a dagger strapped to his waist , His skin turned pale , the thunder rumbled , but this time none of the pegasus not even my Pegasus reared or got spooked by the thunder .

Infact all the Pegasus changed too , there eyes usually a solid black were now a deep purpleish-grey. Their saddles had now disappeared , the Pegasus looked more neat and their heads were set high but the didn't even have a bearing rain , but they did have straps with many pockets that lead around their necks to the stems of their wings . I looked back at Dan and Penny with disbelieve . Dan looked right at me , his eyes where fascinating ,

"Karleigh" he said as he walked towards me .

"Yeah" I responded , was that a question he asked or was he just stating my name I asked myself .

when he got to were I was standing he put his hand on my Pegasus .

"She's yours , think of a name for her , whatever you want to call her , and take the dagger , he pointed to were a dagger was strapped over my unnamed Pegasus's shoulder I took it with cold trembling hands .

He smiled and walked back to Penny ,

" okay everyone take the dagger that is strapped to the side of your Pegasus ." Penny said

Everyone followed her instructions . I stared at the boys that I knew , daggers with them may not be a great idea , I told myself . I could hear the whispers of the excited boys . "wicked " , "sick " , "Awesome" .

I focused my attention on Penny and Dan . Why would Dan tell just me separately to grab my dagger and about my Pegasus why didn't he just wait till Penny said it out loud ? I kept asking myself that .

" The Pegasus are all yours , think of a name ." penny said , Dan and Penny turned and mounted their pegasi .

" mount your pegasi and hold your dagger carefully and be very cautious ." She told everyone . I clumsily mounted my Pegasus . Still need to name her i told myself. When I mounted, Dan and Penny and the third unknown kid all flew off and we all tried to follow but we had no lessons on how to fly a Pegasus.

I called to my Pegasus

"Come on " I said as I held her mane and gently tapped her side .

" My dad taught me how to ride a horse how could this be any different ?"I said firmly to my Pegasus .

Again I thought of my dad . I could feel warm tears trickle down my face , I rubbed my cheek with my sleeve meaninglessly , with the rain there was no point in rubbing my face off .

After about a couple minutes of sobbing with stress and sadness , it came to me I need to call her name . I looked around and all the other kids looked stressed too.

"okay how about thorn ?" I Asked , she snorted ,

"You know because your stubborn." I said ,she stomped her foot.

"Okay so now you understand me." I said as I rolled my eyes .

" okay how about jeta ? Because you have very wonderful wings and you fly fast like a jet . " I sat there for about two seconds for a response .

She whinnied and her wings fluttered .

" okay jeta it is , come on jeta let's go !;I tapped he sides and leaned forward . She reared and took off at a canter , slowly gaining into a gallop , when she got a great speed she spread her five meter wings an we lifted to where the other three kids were hovering above the mob of angry kids.

" not bad for your first time " penny said as she glanced at my dagger that was in my hand .

" Be careful with that , and when you need it use it however you please " penny said with a smirk.

Isn't there only one way use a dagger ?" I asked

" not with these ones ."she said as se descended and landed by the other kids .

" What does she mean ?" I asked Dan.

"you'll see soon , same thing with your Pegasus theirs more then one thing she can do" he said as he held his dagger in his hand.

" we'll duh Pegasus eat , drink, sleep, fly, they do way more then one thing ." I said with an attitude .

"Sorry " I said

"Why you sorry ?"he asked

"I was being rude" I felt so embarrassed .

"It's all good , but you did nothing wrong you simply stated the truth . I ment to say Pegasus have more then one ..... Well more then one form ." He said with hesitation

" really?" I asked with a high pitched voice .

"you'll know what I mean later enough. " he said as he strapped his dagger back to his waist .
