The screams were ear piercing. I could see red everywhere. My sight was fading but I kept running. The only way to save this familiar stranger was to get her to the Healer in time.

My legs wouldn't carry me fast enough. Having this girl in my arms didn't help either. I couldn't understand this sudden connection I felt towards her, but I knew I had to save her.

I got to the top of the hill and looked down. The Healer's obudega was almost right in front of me but I couldn't run to it. The edge of the cliff was too steep for me to climb down, but I had to try.

I was over the edge, but not fast enough. Four claws gripped my wrist causing me to try and scream, but no sound came out. The girl was falling. Why did I let go? I dove down and wrapped my arms around her hoping to protect her from the fall, at least a little. But we never hit the ground.
