Josh P.O.V.

What the hell did I just do? I thought I smelled her but I wasn’t sure. I’ve lost my love and its all my fault. I thought if I could get Ben next to her it would seem ok but that made it worst. I kept replaying her words over and over in my head. She rejected me and I made her do it. Sure my heart was breaking but I broke her heart. I don’t know what I have to do to make this right but I will. I just need help. I will get her to see that I made a mistake and I’m sorry. The first thing on my list was to break up with Ash.

I had to talk to Arianna and Lacey. They could help. Maybe. I hope so. I need my Demi in my arms. My wolf won’t talk to me. I don’t blame him.

‘Ben. I messed up. Meet me in the hallway. I need help.’

‘Yea man. On my way. What do I tell Ash? She’s asking for you again.’

‘Tell her were done and leave me the hell alone. Use your Beta voice.’

‘Thank you. It’s about time. On my way.’

“What’s up Josh? What happened?”

After I explained to him what happened he shook his head.

“What do I do man? How do I get her back in my life for good?”

“Talk to those chicks she hang with. They know her best.”

“Ok. Where can I find them?”

“Here comes one now.”

I turned around to see Lacey walking towards us looking pissed.

“What the hell did you do to Demi? You no good lying, cheating little boy. You don’t deserve her. She deserves better than you.”

“I know that. I messed up and I’m sorry. I want my baby back please help me.”

She reached up to slap me but was stopped by Ben holding her arm. The look in her eyes told me that Ben was her mate.

“Ben let her go before you hurt her.”

He let go so fast I didn’t see his arm move.

“I’m sorry baby. I didn’t mean to hurt you,” said my lovesick best friend Ben.

“You didn’t hurt me. I’m ok. Josh do you love Demi?”

“Yes. I love her more than anything in this world or the next. Please help me win her back.”

“I’ll help but if you hurt her again, so help me God I will kill you.”

“Ok. Now that’s settled. Let’s go talk Lacey. We have much to discuss about our future together.”

“Thanks again Lacey and congrats. You both deserve each other.”

“Thanks man. Bye. I’ll see you later.”

Then I was left to my thoughts and hopes of getting my love back in my life.

Unknown P.O.V.

Well that was easier than I thought. Getting her to reject him was the easiest thing in the world. So gullible and being led by your emotions and not by logic is a girl thing to do. I want her for myself. It’s not fair he’s her mate. She should be mine. In due time she will be mine. He will not get her back if I have anything to do with it.

Demi P.O.V.

I can’t believe him. I can’t believe I rejected him. It hurt so much I can barely breathe. Maybe I should have given him a chance to explain what happened.

“So Demi, I have a question for you,” asked Cameron Alexander.

Cameron has been a friend who asks me out every time he sees me. He’s cute, tall, dark curly hair and light green eyes. He’s very easy on the eyes but he wasn’t at all appealing in my eyes. He may be a looker but Josh is tall, with black hair and a pair of baby blue eyes that read your soul every time I look at him. Wait. What am I saying? Why am I comparing Cameron to Josh?

            “Sure. What’s up?”

“Well I know I ask you out a lot but this time I was wondering if you were ok?”

            “What? Why you ask that?”

“Well your eyes are red and puffy, you’re dazing in and out of our conversation, and you look like you lost your best friend. I wanted to be sure you were ok. With me being a caring sweet funny friend and all.”

“Ha- ha. Thanks Cam. I feel better already. Thank you for being there for me.”

“No problem. Look if you need a friend to lean on, I’m here whenever you need me, ok?”

“Thanks and I’ll keep that in mind,” I said smiling weakly.

The rest of the day went in a blur. After school it was time for track practice. I needed some release even if I can’t shift in front of everybody.

“Lacey, where have you been? You’ve been missing since lunch. Wait why do you smell like Ben?”

“Promise you won’t get mad but Ben’s my mate and he marked me today.”

“Why the hell would I be mad? That’s great news. I’m so happy for you.”

“Why are you happy and what’s great news,” the third to our triangle Arianna added.

“Well I’m not sure I can tell you. Only Lacey can tell you. It’s her news.”

“Ok. Well Lacey what’s up? Are you pregnant?”

“LMAO. God no. Not yet anyway. I found my mate today and he marked me.”

“Wow. That is great news. So who’s the lucky guy who gets to get the ‘if you hurt her, I’ll kill you’ speech?”

            “It’s Ben Trains.”

“What how could you let that loser mark you. You’re a trader and a disgrace to our pack. What will you do once your parents and Alpha find out?”

“The already know. They like him and approved our mating. So shut up already. Look Demi I know he hurt you but please listen to his story. Find out what happened before you let the rejection takes it toll on you and him.”

“Wait. You rejected someone. Who was it?”

“Well I would tell you but your being a bitch instead of a friend that we both need right now.”

“Ok. I’m sorry Lacey. I didn’t mean anything I said. I was just surprised and. I’m just sorry.”

            “I forgive you.”

“Well my mate is Josh Durham. I rejected him and now I regret it because I miss him so much.”

“Go to him and listen to him. He is going crazy without you.”

            “Ok. Where is he?”

“At the Red Blood pack house. You still smell like him so you should be ok.”

            “Thanks Lacey. Bye Arianna.”
