Hearing her say no broke my heart. I felt rejected. I think she does know that I’m her mate but I would have hoped she would say yea and come and hold me. Now that I think about it. I probably would have done the same thing.
“Hey man, you cool,” asked Ben quietly.
“Yea. I’m cool man. Just thinking about something,” I replied coolly.
“Ok. Have you seen Demi this year? She’s a nice piece of ass huh,”
“DON’T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT AGAIN! Fuck man I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you. “
“It’s cool man. I know she’s your mate.”
“What? How did you know?
“ Well you keep staring at her like she is the love of your life and she keeps staring at you hoping for you to go kiss her. I’m your Beta. It’s my job to watch over you and protect my Luna.”
“Damn man. What do I do? I want to but I know I can’t. My father will disapprove of our mating.”
“What matters the most to you? Her or your father approval?”
Damn he’s right. How do I tell her I love you and get my father on our side? I have to figure something out but in the meantime. I think I should pay attention in class.
After class, I made my way to locker but stopped when grabbed at my waist. A pair of slender arms wrapped around me like they owned me. I knew it wasn’t my loves arms because she is to short. I stand at 6’1 and she stands at 5’1. Short I know but hey I love her anyway.
“Babe, did you hear anything I just said to you,” asked my current girlfriend Ashley.
“I’m sorry babe. I was thinking about some things. What’s up?”
“Well I was saying that we should go to Jessica’s party tomorrow night. Do you want to do that?”
“Yea sure why not. We need some fun in this boring town.”
Besides Demi might be there and I might be able to pull her aside and talk to and maybe even kiss her.
“Babe!! Are you even listening to me? I am trying to talk to you!!”
“Sorry Ash. I was talking to him through mind link,” replied Ben.
I looked at him gratefully.
