'Formula' for 'one' love

Epilogue

"Happy birthday mum!" Amalia grinned as Rebekah opened the front door. "Sorry we're late, Leo had a tantrum just as we were about to leave."

"Thank you and don't worry about it, you're here now." Rebekah told her daughter. Today was Rebekah's 60th birthday and all her family and friends had come round to celebrate with her.

"Hi Rebekah, happy birthday." Felix greeted as he entered the house behind his wife, carrying Leo.

"Thanks Felix." Rebekah grinned as she shut the door behind him. She followed him through to the lounge where everyone had gathered.

"Hey squirt." Kimi called when he noticed Amalia.

"Hey uncle Kimi." She called in return. "Hi Sasha." She greeted Kimi's wife.

"Hi Amalia." Sasha smiled politely.

"Lia!" Sofia called before launching herself at her sister.

"Hey Fi." Amalia laughed as she hugged her sister.

"So how's the big star doing?" Sofia asked when she pulled away. Amalia was the current Formula One drivers champion, this being her sixth title, as well as being the first female Formula One driver. She was well on the way to claiming her seventh and matching her father's tally.

"I'm doing good thanks. You?"

"Good." Sofia grinned.

Rebekah watched as her two daughters chatted smiling to herself. Tomas was sitting with his pregnant wife, doing the over-protective father/husband ritual.

"What you thinking about?" Sergio Perez asked as he stood next to his friend.

"Just thinking." Rebekah shrugged.

"About how old you are." Sergio teased.

"Shut up Checo! This will be you in 3 years!" Rebekah laughed.

"Don't remind me." Sergio chuckled.

"How's the job at Mercedes going?"

"Good, it's weird being at the pit wall rather than in the car but apart from that it's good."

"I bet." Rebekah chuckled.

"Grandma?" A small voice asked. Rebekah looked down to see Maria, Amalia's daughter, stood looking up at her.

"Yes sweetie?"

"When can we eat?" The girl asked shyly. Rebekah chuckled.

"Now, if you want." The girls face lit up before she ran to the food table and grabbing everything she could get her hands on.

"Mum, do you want to open presents?" Sofia asked as she walked up to her mother.

"Why not?" Rebekah shrugged. She went to the sofa and sat in the middle with Leo one side and Maria and Luca, Amalia's other son, on the other.

"Have this one first." Heidi grinned as she handed her friend her present. Rebekah carefully tore off the paper to reveal a picture frame, the picture inside was a picture of Rebekah and Heidi in school on one side and one of them a couple of weeks ago on the other. The writing on the top said then.. and now..

"Thanks Heidi." Rebekah laughed as she placed it delicately on the floor.

"Mine next." Dasha called as she thrust her present in Rebekah's face. Fernando cringed, knowing what was in the package. Rebekah opened it to find two tickets to fall onto her lap.

"A pamper spa and make-up day." Rebekah read out. "Wow, thanks Dasha."

"Now there are two tickets, you can take whoever you want but-"

"You can come Dasha." Rebekah laughed.

"Yay, thank you!" She clapped happily. The present giving went on for another half an hour. Rebekah received gifts ranging from things for the garden, to a holiday away (courtesy of Kimi and Sasha.)

"Just ours left." Amalia said as she handed her present to her mother. It was quite a big, heavy present. Rebekah ripped off the wrapping paper and looked at the present. It was a photo album. Rebekah opened it to see the first picture was of the whole family in Spain.

"Wow, Mali thank you." Rebekah grinned happily as she flicked through the pages. Everyone else began to drift off and go back to chatting but Rebekah scanned the book intently. One picture made her laugh, it was of her and Sebastian in year 13 at the annual charity lunch dressed as two of the three musketeers, Heidi being the third but she was taking the picture. The next picture was of her and Sebastian in Spain after the testing of the Williams, it was Sebastian's favourite photo of them together. There were pictures from various races, their wedding day, the days when her children were born and lots of her and Sebastian. The last one was taken just before the 2030 Brazilian Grand Prix. Rebekah hadn't known that it had been taken. It was her and Sebastian stood in the garage as Rebekah wished him look. There was so much love in their eyes that it made Rebekah tear up slightly.

"Where did you get these pictures from?" Rebekah asked her daughter.

"I just asked all your friends and they gave them to me." Amalia smiled at her mother.

"I love it, thank you."

By 9:00 the last of the guests had left and the house was scarily quiet. Rebekah went back into the lounge and sighed at the mess, knowing it would take her a while to clear it up. Before she could start she decided she would look through the photo album again. She picked it up and sat down on the sofa, brushing off the bits of food stuck to it. She flicked through the pages and scanned the photos once again. She scanned each picture intently, remembering every detail of when it had been taken. She flipped through the pages and landed what she had decided was her favourite picture. It was from her wedding day. She was sat at a table with Sebastian, it was just them. They were just talking to each other and laughing, it was so natural and that's why Rebekah loved it.

"You know," A deep voice came from next to her. "That was the happiest day of my life." Rebekah turned her head to see Sebastian sat next to her grinning.

"Mine too."

"As well as when the kids were born." Sebastian laughed.

"Yeah, of course." Rebekah chuckled. "Where were you all day? I hardly saw you."

"Oh, I was out back with Kimi, reminiscing."

"You mean you were drinking." Rebekah laughed.

"Pretty much." Sebastian grinned.

"You haven't changed." Rebekah grinned as she shook her head.

"Would you want me too?"

"Not for the world."

"I love you so much Reb." Sebastian declared as he gazed lovingly at his wife.

"I love you too."
