Chiron, Percy, Nico, Leo, Piper, Hazel, Jason, Reyna, and I sat around the ping-pong table in the Big House.
"The gods have decided. They want to give all of you a chance to be normal teenagers. They've decided to put the 8 of you in a boarding school. You'll all be in most of the same classes, and your rooms are decorated for you by your parents. But Nico and Hazel will be in ninth grade instead of eleventh," Chiron told us. "You're going to a school called Weltry Prep,"
"So, the gods plan to let us be normal teenagers is to ship us off to a boarding school? That doesn't seem logical," Percy scowled. "And, not only is it a boarding school, but it's a prep school? Filled with rude rich kids? And-"
"Percy! Not all rich kids are rude-you've met Rachel!" I glared at him. "And, you know you're insulting the gods right know! Haven't you learned your lesson about that?!"
"Wise Girl, I'm actually being logical," Percy looked at me before he turned back to Chiron. "And, what about the monsters?"
Chiron showed us 9 wrapped boxes. Percy had two addressed to him, but the rest of us had one.
Leo wasted no time tearing his box open. He pulled out a Celestial Bronze necklace with an obsidian hammer hanging from it. He touched the top of the hammer, and the trinket became a large hammer with an actual flaming tip.
"Woah! This is freaking awesome!" He cried excitedly.
"Uh, Leo, could you stop waving that thing around?" Hazel flinched away from Leo's hammer.
He touched the top of the hammer again, and it shrank back to a necklace.
"The gods each sent you something to ward of monsters. It covers your sent, and is magic," Chiron explained. "And, Percy, your mother sent you a package that arrived this morning,"
I unwrapped my box to reveal a beautifully crafted locket. I opened the owl shaped locket, and found a picture of me in one side, and Percy in the other side. With a bright smile, I showed Percy the locket. His picture had been torn, but it still must've been hard for my mother to give it to me.
Percy tore open the package his mother had sent him.
"Score!" He cheered as he raised the blue cookies Sally had shipped him over his head.
Everyone who hadn't already opened their package opened it. Percy got a pale pink seashell. Hazel got a mechanical pencil. She stared at it, and it became a long Imperial Gold sword.
"I-uh-I prefer my cavalry sword," Hazel said as she turned the sword back into a mechanical pencil, and shoved the pencil back in her pocket. "What is that thing, anyways?"
"It's a mechanical pencil," Leo explained. "It can still write like a normal pencil,"
Reyna lifted up her new bracelet. It was an intricate gold bracelet with flecks of diamond. Piper had received a beautiful silver and Celestial bronze necklace. A diamond sword trinket hung from the necklace. She touched it, it became a Celestial Bronze sword. Jason had received an Imperial Gold ring. Nico got a small statue.
"Mythomagic?!" Nico scowled. "I got Hades's Mythomagic figurine?!"
He angrily threw the statue to the ground. Percy scooped the statue up and put it in Nico's hand.
"You have two hours before Argus has to drive you to your new school,"
