... Hush A By, Don't You Cry ...
Hear the cries of a child in the dark night,
Praying someone won't give up their fight.
Hear footsteps peddling on the ground,
Hoping that they will be found.
See the shadows crossing on the walls,
Children cover their ears so they don't hear the mother scream and fall.
The gun in hand is faint,
The blood on the walls is almost like paint.
Hiding in closets to get away from sight,
Don't the neighbors hear my scream in the night?
Tripping over silence being careful not to make a sound,
Hear the hush of a voice slowly coming around.

... My Daddy's Gone Crazy ...
Mother and Father are at it again,
Why do they have to fight like this?
Pushing and shoving like five year olds,
Just wait until one of their body's become very cold.
It all started when I came home one day,
She was on the floor and wasn't okay.
Her eyes were red from crying,
Can't she see that when I know that she's hurt, a part of me is dying.
He walks into the room and holds her by the neck,
This is something he's definitely gonna regret.
I come out of my room and find him standing above her.
My anger is shown and I know what to do.
There's something I really need to prove.
He will not harm her anymore,
Once I'm finished with him he better not come knocking on our door.
I pick her up and lies her on the bed,
I gently pull the covers over her head.
It's over now I whisper softly in her ear,
He won't come back so there's nothing to fear.
